It is on the right hand side near the front, over a foot down into the engine compartment (toward the ground). It has a blue cap on it and says ATF on it.

Where is the transmission filter on 2003 mitsubishi outlander

It is inside the transmission, you have to get under the car, drop the oil , if it has a plug, or drop the pan, oil will leak for days, 2 or 3 bolts hold the filter in place, take out the plastic plug if you find one floating around in the pan, and put it all back together.

Where is the water pump located on a mitsubishi 2.4L engine? I have a 2003 mitsubishi outlander

While I understand this answer may be overkill, follow this link to an article about the engine cooling system. Look midway down the article for this sentence "More information about 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander Engine Cooling System service and troubleshooting, find here – 32 pages of PDF filetype" Click on the "find here" link which will prompt you to download a file 14_rar. Open it with any decompressing software (Winzip, WinRar) to find 14.pdf. Go to page 14-23 to see a diagram of where water pump is. It will also give you instructions on removing and replacing it. Good luck!
