It is on the right hand side near the front, over a foot down into the engine compartment (toward the ground). It has a blue cap on it and says ATF on it.

Yes. The plus and minus allws you to manually pull the transmission out of overdrive. Contact a Mitsubishi Service dept for specific details pertaining to its function(s).
YOU HAVE TO LOOK IN OWNERS MANUAL OR FACTORY MANUAL IN GLOVE COMPARTMENT.IT WILL TELL YOU WHAT TYPE TRANSMISSION YOUR VECHICLE USE.IF YOU DONT HAVE A OWNERS MANUAL YOU CAN CALL MITSUBISHI SERVICE DEPARTMENT.THEY WILL LOOK IT UP AND TELL YOU.
It is inside the transmission, you have to get under the car, drop the oil , if it has a plug, or drop the pan, oil will leak for days, 2 or 3 bolts hold the filter in place, take out the plastic plug if you find one floating around in the pan, and put it all back together.

Open it with any decompressing software (Winzip, WinRar) to find 14.pdf. Go to page 14-23 to see a diagram of where water pump is. It will also give you instructions on removing and replacing it.
