So i actually spin the piston? With what do I grab it with to spin it? A big old pair of pliers, or is there a bolt head somewhere somehow? Thanks again

Are you trying to push the piston back into the calliper the same way as you did with the front?............You stated that the new pads are "fatter" and won't fit,....this may be because the piston is still sticking out too much, is this the case?.............Regarding the errors, do the brake pads first, we will sort out the ABS and stability issues later........ ...IMPORTANT...On the rear brakes ,Do not try to force the piston back into the calliper with a clamp.....the piston has to be wound in like a big bolt by turning clockwise, it has a thread on it.

Did you wind the piston back into the calliper?.....If not,you need to do this first.

Yes, you spin the piston,....ie,screw it back into the calliper bore,it will probably be very tight.
You need a tool from the auto parts store to do this.
Tell them you need a rear brake calliper piston reset tool and they will understand exactly what you mean.
Take your time as you turn the piston until it bottoms out, then you should be able to fit the new pads.

How can i reset esc and abs dash light

The warning lights will stay on until the problem with the stability control and anti lock braking system is addressed and rectified.

If the warning lights are still showing there is still a problem with the system such as faulty wheel sensors.

I changed the rear rotors and brake pads on my cadillac eldorado and now the ABS and Traction Control lights are on.

You can go to an auto parts store and they will check the codes for you for free. Try bleeding the brake lines, disconnect the battery for a few minutes to rest the codes and see if it comes back again. But check the codes before you do anything else

How do you clear stabillity controll light and abs light

Most likely yu cause a problem with the abs system since the stability control uses this system it will also illuminate when there is an ABS issue. If there where not a problem the light would have gone out. Since the light remains on we now something is wrong. Doyle check your work making sure you didn't accidentally unplug, break, or pull the wires out of a sensor. If nothing looks wrong than your next step is to check for ABS codes with a scan tool.

I CHANGED MY REAR BRAKE PADS , NOW MY SERVICE DRIVING STABILITY,AND ABS LIGHTS ARE ON AND POWER STERRING IS STIFF

sounds like you may have damaged, dislodged or unplugged one of the rear wheel speed sensors or their connectors while doing the rear pads. they are mounted directly on the hub and are the only component w/ wires going to them

ASC & ABS light on cluster

Check to see if your brake pads and rotors are in good condition. Or if you have replaced the pads yourself and have not reset the wheel sensors this would cause the ABS Antilock Brake System light and the ASC Automatic Stability Control light to stay on as the ASC uses the ABS brakes with computer assistance to control the traction of the car if not fixed it can effect your rev limiter slowing performance

I had similar problem with my eldo...The clunk(sounds like a stick hitting the bottom of the car) in the front end turned out to be stabilizer bushings, kinda pricey and the Light your getting sounds like you have a bad connection where the speed sensors connect behind the rear hubs, I also had that problem, I accidentally hit the clips when I changed the brakes and all the same symptoms..Good luck

Eldorado problem check eng, abs, trac cntrl lights on and idle goes from 700-2000 and back

look for any wires touching under the hood. possibly change throttle control. check the abs plugs one at each wheel . check engine light is most likely on due to the transmission issue
