Question about 2001 Chrysler Town & Country
After a battery replacement in an '01 town and country the cruise does not work. The light appears on the dash when cruise is turned on but goes off after just a few seconds. The cruise will not engage even when the light is on. I THINK the vacuum is okay. At least, that reserve vacuum box seems to be holding. Just wonder if I could have blown a fuse or if something has to be reset after battery removal? I do not know where the fuse is located if there is one. During battery replacement I did have to put in a battery cable splice kit due to corrosion.
Check the splice and make sure there is no exposed wire and that it isn't touching anything causing a short/ground. Also check your owners manual for a fuse layout (should be in there) and find the fuse(s) that control your CC and check them. Also make sure you didn't damage the throttle cable coming from the CC module (should be the shorter of the two cables coming off the throttle body). Hope this helps.
