OBD-11 codes 0403 & 0405

code p0403 refers to EGR --circuit malfunction===causes ---wiring--EGR solenoid---ECM
code p0405 refers to EGR valve position sensor A --low input===causes ---wiring ---short to ground---EGRF valve position sensor--- ECM.
By only changing the EGR valve you have not fixed the problems that cause the valve not to work.

I have a 2002 ford escape, the engine light has been on for some time, no code was detected when put on the machine, I just had the coils replaced and started noticing problems when the ac was on, the...

Having problems with the dash will cause all kinds if problems, like your having. Ford decided to put the Instrument panel, body control module and security all in the IP.First thing I would do is pull the IP Check the wires and plug going to it. Make sure you put it back in and it is a snug fit. You can also have a diagnostics done on this. IP, BCM, Security codes don't always show up on the ECM.

Hi nox numbers...how do i know if its the ega valve of not

Having you car inspected for the emissions can be frustrating. A good mechanic can read the numbers and tell what is going on. It does sound like a EGR valve problem. Most times it (the EGR valve) can be taken off the manifold and the ports cleaned some times they need to be replaced if they do not open enough, they can be manually operated by a hand vacuum pump /gage tool. It should hold a vacuum, if it leaks down it is bad.

What other chrysler engines can you use on a 1997 Chrysler Concorde found an engine on ebay want to know if I can use it. Blown head gaskets on mine.

U don't scrap an engine for blown head gaskets, it is not that big a job if this is a 3.5 liter, and any 3.5 will work.

Did dodge make a 429 ci engine? i ask because the sticker on the valve cover on my 1`990 ram van says 429. thank you

hmmm... Have never heard of Dodge having a 429.. Ford made a 429, Dodge has the 440 and the 426 hemi.... unless they changed the bore and stroke for some models... which I think unlikely...

hold on... rereading your post... the only motors ever available in the caravan:
  • 1984–1987 2.2 L K I4, 84 hp (63 kW)
  • 1984–1987 2.6 L Mitsubishi G54B I4, 114 hp (85 kW)
  • 1987½–1990 2.5 L K I4, 100 hp (75 kW)
  • 1987½–1989 3.0 L Mitsubishi 6G72 V6, 136 hp (101 kW)
  • 1989–1990 2.5 L Turbo I4150 horsepower (110 kW)
  • 1990 3.0 L Mitsubishi 6G72 V6, 141 hp (105 kW)
  • 1990 3.3 L EGA V6, 150 hp (110 kW)

  • if it happens to be a '91 they added the 3.8l

  • 1991–1995 2.5 L K I4, 100 hp (70 kW) and 135 lb·ft (183 N·m)
  • 1991–1995 3.0 L Mitsubishi 6G72 V6, 150 hp (112 kW) and 173 lb·ft (235 N·m)
  • 1991–1995 3.3 L EGA V6, 162 hp (121 kW) and 194 lb·ft (263 N·m).

I need to replace my puel pump for plymouth voyeger 1999.

The fuel pump in a Plymouth Voyager is electric so you should check the fuses and relays before inspecting the fuel pump itself. If you have fuel in your tank but your vehicle has difficulty getting fuel, you may need to clean your fuel pump or replace it entirely. The Plymouth Voyager comes in a variety of styles and this may affect your choice of fuel pump.
    jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); });
    Things You'll Need:
    • Fuel pump kit
    • Socket wrench set
    • Torque wrench
    1. Step 1 Determine the fuel pump that your Plymouth Voyager will require. This depends on the make and model and engine size of your vehicle. Models manufactured from 1991 to 1995 came with a 2.5 L K, 3.0 L Mitsubishi 6G72, 3.3L EGA or 3.8 L EGH engine. Models made after 1995 may have a 2.4 L EDZ, 3.0 L Mitsubishi 6G72, 3.3 L EGA or 3.8 L EGH engine.
    2. Step 2 Relieve the fuel2_bing.gif system pressure and drain the fuel tank. Disconnect the negative battery cable with a socket wrench.
    3. Step 3 Support the fuel tank and loosen the strap bolts with a socket wrench. Remove the fuel line and electrical harness for the fuel pump.
    4. Step 4 Lower the fuel tank so that you can remove the lock ring for the fuel pump. This will allow you to remove the fuel pump.
    5. Step 5 Install the new fuel pump using the items included in the kit. Use a torque wrench to tighten the lock ring and bolts for the main fuel tank straps to 40 ft. lbs. Torque the bolts on the T strap for the fuel tank to 250 in. lbs.
    6. Step 6 Complete the installation by reversing the removal procedure.

No fuel getting to where it needs to be.

Check that the fuel pump is working. Take th egas cap off and have some-one turn on the ignition to run. If you hear a light motor sound it should be OK.
If not, you need to make sure you are using the right key for the car. The key is coded and if it is not the correct key, the engine will crank but the fule will be cut off via the pump.

Check the fuses (under the steering column behind panel) for a fuel pump circuit. I beleive there is fuel pump relay which needs to be checked.
