Unhook the battery, there are 2 wires on the starter solenoid, 1 is a 5/16 nut and the other is a 9/16 nut remove those wires. this maybe easier to remove the heat shield first. next ther are two 9/16 bolts holding the starter in position, remove, and the starter will come out, about a 15min job

94 GMC sierra wont start. just single click. battery checks good. Starter taken off and checked at autozone, good. all connections were tight and no corrosion on bat terminals. any ideas

Check very closely where the negative battery cable connects to the engine. Any looseness or corrosion there will prevent the full power of the battery to activate the starter. Check the negative battery cable itself to make sure it is in good condition and has no other connections than to the engine.

94 GMC won't start, lights & horn work. Also pulled starter and had it tested, tested OK.

If your starter and battery are both good chances are your ignition switch is bad and will not allow power to your starter. If your replace the switch it should solve your problem. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

What type of Flywheel do I need for a 1994 GMC Sierra SL 1500 automatic 4.3l V6 305?

It's not a flywheel, it's a flex plate that bolts to back of engine. Why do you need one? If your starter is grinding it needs a starter drive (bendix)

Replace starter on 1992 GMC Sierra pickup truck

First thing unhook positive battery cable, unhook main cable on starter selanoid and small wire on selanoid (there may be 2 small wires) There may be a bracket on front of starter that has to be removed, and then the 2 main bolts that hold it to engine block and it should come out.
