Cooling fan not kicking on causing the jeep to over heat. Replaced the termstat and temp sensor, on a 00 jeep grand cherokee.

Check the fan operation by disconnecting the fan wiring. Using the battery use a set of jumper wires to see if the fan runs directly off the battery.

2000 jeep grand cherokee wont start...all i get is a click sound from the starter... wanna make sure it is the starter before i go replacing it...tried wiggling wires

Used a test light at starter, on small wire check for voltage while some one turn key to start.if you do have voltage there starter bad . Replace it. If you need to move truck tap starter with hammar while some one turn key to start.Remember you'll still need to replace starter.

I have a 96 jeep grand cherokee that won't hold a start

check your starter wire as mine was loose and did the same thing every time you interupt power to the alarm system it will flash the lights unlock the drivers door with the key and this will rearm the alarm and the jeep should start up if this is the problem rember to have good battery conections and a good batt first or else this will keep hapening also after 20 starts you may have to do the key thing again

We need to replace the alternator, 96 Grand Cherokee, Lorado,

1.Make sure the battery is disconnected while working there. @. Make sure that all electrical terminals are clean (on alt & battery) before putting back together. 3. use anti-seize compound or some good lithium grease on fasteners on re-assembly. It helps to keep them from freezing into aluminium and makes removal easier in the future. You may have to remove some other stuff to get the alt out, but it shouldn't bee too difficult. Make sure you either have a belt routing diagram, or make your own before you take it apart.
Good Luck
