That could be alot of things, i would change out the plug first, if that doesnt work, change out the distributor cap, that doesnt work, change out the coil or possibly the distributor itself. just take things from the cheapest to the most expensive.

SOURCE: 94 Camaro Z28 Missfire & Backfires

I had a similar problem, took it to get diagnosed and was instructed to give them $1100 because of a faulty reading on the distributer, rather than paying $650 for a unit I found plenty available new for under $200 I bought an OEM for $189. Now the labour can be found cheaper elsewhere. I then discovered that the module may also be at fault but I would have to replace the dizzy first, Then discovered that the Air Flow meter {afm} may need to be taken off and cleaned with a carby cleaning spray, this is a do it yourself fix costing you about $8 a can of cleaner
Unscrew the units clamps and disconnect the plug, I can't stress enough, DO NOT touch the fine wires inside, spray the carbon buildup off the inside and blow/air dry, {do not rinse with water.} reinstall the unit in the reverse of which it was removed, Alternativly you may have fuel blockage in the lines, try replacing the fuel filter {cheapest fix}
Hope this helps

SOURCE: my 1996 camaro z28 - I replaced my temp sensor on

This issue is old but, since it is a common occurrence after opening the cooling system in one of these kinda' cars and loosing fluid. It's very important to manage the refill properly or engine damage of the serious kind it very likely.
Sounds like air is trapped inside the engines water jacket. This happens because the top of the radiator is lower that the top of the engine and water doesn't like to flow up hill. It just ain't natural, ya know... So when you changed your sensor and refilled the system with coolant, unless you bleed it afterward... It Ain't Really Refilled!!!

Anyway; There is an “air bleeder” valve in a heater hose right in front of the alternator on my V8. (Please see its sexy photo below...) I've also seen them in the top of the goose neck where the thermostat is on some other engines. Open it by loosening the screw at the top, while the engine is running warmed up (Thermostat open, coolant flowing but not over heated!!!) to let all the air bubbles collect and come out. It's like bleeding air out of a brake system... kinda'..) Close the valve and let the cooling juice circulate for 34 seconds then open it again. Repeat this until no more bubbles escape.

Oops! Gotta go-- My popcorn's ready!!
Good Luck!!

Please fix this before you kill your motor, 'cause I'll be sad and you'll be mad!.

You Have A Good Day Too,

Fuel pump

A fuel pressure gauge is the most accurate way. You can turn the key on and listen for a humming sound, that tells you the pump is running, but dosn't mean it's completely functional.
