Those codes are for the B shift solenoid you either have a faulty solenoid or wire issue to that solenoid, the pan will have to come down the solenoid checked and the wiring from the PCM to the trans checked.I have seen alot of wiring rubbed thru ontop of the bell housing on this model.

I have a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan that is stuck in 4th gear the code says and it grinds when you try to put it in reverse and not engage. So what is stuck

Your vehicle has an electronically controlled transmission. It also has a "solenoid pack" which actually controls the shifting by "fluttering" valves that steer the transmission fluid into the right ports. You have probably heard a "ratcheting" sound in the past, especially when coming to a slow stop. You probably have one or more of those valves stuck.

You can remove the control cable from the transmission control computer, and, if you run the vehicle that way, it should go into what they call "limp mode." Limp mode gives you reverse, and drive, but only in first and second gear (out of four forward gears). But the experiment will tell you whether the problem with your transmission is mechanical or electrical.

A lot of people have made the monumental mistake of using Dextron or Mercon fluid, in a transmission that was designed to use ATF+3 or ATF+4 fluid exclusively. The wrong fluid has ruined multiple thousands of otherwise amazingly durable transmissions! Most of those will outlast the rest of the vehicle, at 250,000 and more miles ... IF you use the proper fluid! The wrong fluid will give you maybe 25,000 miles before major transmission problems appear on the scene.

My T45 transmission is stuck in first gear and bogs down when I shift it to reverse

It appears this is a 5 speed manual transmission. There may be shift linkage problems between the shift lever and transmission. also bushings. I strongly recommend a repair manual specificly for this transmission. possibly filespeep.com or manualslib.com

Why is my Mercedes E350 transmission stuck in limp mode?

transmission may need an update-new data from factory gear--a diagnostic scan will show issue-vehicle specific equipment is used found at private shops--stay clear of dealers-techsnot that xperiencd----unplug the computer and clean the pins then reconnect and see if issue stops-its a common practice on older cars-kinda like a reboot

Auto gearbox gets stuck in reverse gear.

This is likely a sticking valve in the transmission valve body assembly, try adding a can of Lucas brand transmission additive.

2000 Montero Sport 3.5l V6, automatic transmission. After starting cold vehicle and shifting into drive, transmission does not immediately enage until after several seconds and then "bangs" into...

Well when you are in cold weather and after a high mileage. The Transmission solenoids fails when its cold and they get stuck for a moment and all i can say is that you warm your car for a while before you leave your house and thats good for the engine too and aslo will keep your car running for a long time. Good luck

My trans is stuck in second gear. Is that what

The town and country vans are know for transmission problems and it would not be stuck in 2nd gear if it was in limp mode. Limp mode typically controls the engine. I have seen people do a transmission flush/filter and add lucas to temporary fix the problem. There is also a good chance that the transmission has a solenoid problem preventing it from shifting into any other gears but second. Hope this helps!

1997 Ford e40d Transmission won't shift when warm

Take it back to the rebuilder, it should still be under warranty. But first, check the fluid level. Have it on flat ground, engine running and transmission warm.
