Remove distributor cap and turn over if rotor button dosent move take distributor out and check to see if the sheer pin has broken OR gear stripped or came loose If not gheck the worm gear on camshaft if ok set timing to TDC the timing marks on the bottom pully will tell you 5deg BTDC and set points to just about to open on No 1 cylinder nearest to distributor
and firing order is 1342 make sure its going 1342

Oil leaking from toyota camry 1992, 1994 model

You don't say what engine it has. The 4-cyl was a better than the V6 for oil leaks.

The V6 had oil leaks from

-rear bank cam cover gasket

-distributor o-ring seal

-oil filter bracket o-ring seal

-crankshaft nose oil seal (less common)

-rear main bearing oil seal (expensive, just leave it)

The 4 cyl leaked oil from

-distributor o-ring seal

-camshaft cover gasket

-rear main bearing seal (expensive, leave it)

I havea daewoo nubira and we replaced the valve cover gasket yesterday , did an oik change and now the engine is smoking white smoke. Try to check to hoses, could not see a leak. Where is the cylinder...

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

The cylinder head is located on the center of the engine. Yes it can be a worn out head gasket or piston rings. If the piston rings are worn out the oil is burnt that's why it emits white smoke. You will need to replace the head gasket and piston rings.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

How to fix a front leaky oil seal in a 1995 Toyota Camry LE

Three seals to check. easiest is the valve cover seal. Number and remove the 4 wires going into your spark plugs. remove 4 nuts holding the cover and replace seal.
Next easiest is the distributor O-ring. Remove air filter assembly remove the distributor cap, then the distributor. With the valve cover still off, loosen the 2 bolts that clamp the distributor down. Remove the 2 terminal leads going into the distributor (4 wire terminal/2 wire terminal) Mark the case of the distributor and the case of the head with one line so you can line it back up on reinstallation. remove the 3 bolts holding the distributor down. Replace O-ring. replace distributor, align, tighten the 2 bolts, then tighten the 3 bolts. replace terminal wiring and cap. replace air filter assembly. Replace valve cover with new gasket. Place spark plug wires back into their proper places. The last one is the oil pan gasket. Drain all oil and remove all blots holding the pan. drop the pan and replace the gasket. Put it all back into place. Do not over tighten the pan bolts as this will cause the gasket to deform, making it leak again.

Have an oil leak from somewhere under the engine. Have already replaced the oil pan gasket, and the valve cover gaskets. Still have oil coming from under engine someplace. What could be possible problem?

check the oil pressure sending unit, clean engine then look to see where it is leaking, could be oil sending unit, dist drive seal or engine rear main.Need to determine wich side of engine.

Over presure inside the engine so the distributor oil seal pushes by oil and spill,i already replace the valve cover but its the same.what possible solution can beat it?

on the dist shaft there is an oring that seals at the engine if you remove your cap and then mark your dist so that you dont change the timing ,then remove the distributor and you will see the oring on the dist shaft ,replace it ,they get flat and hard and wont seal any longer ,good luck !

You didn't buy this from a dealer did you? Try (repairpal.com) for estimate for repairs that zero's in on your area rates via postal code for closer estimate. You just enter info on vehicle & pick repair to be done.

Changing valve cover gasket on 92 honda accord EX 4 cyl...

no and should be easy compared to what your used to.  Just put a small dap of silicone at the 4 points the cam bearing caps meet head(don't remove the caps) you will see what I mean when you get into the job. I also recommend distributor  o-ring they leak often and  are also fairly easy. just mark the dist. It will only go in 2 ways it has tabs to align it not gears.

Oil leak on 1991 3.0 V-6 Engine

If leak is from top at rear my bet would be that valve cover gaskets are leaking. They are not too hard to change. Good Luck
