Leaking fluid around left front wheel of 2001 Audi A6

If it is near the tire it is brake fluid. The brake fluid reservoir is back by the firewall driver side of engine compartment. Your car uses DOT 4 brake fluid.

Many quarts for power steering

Most automobile power steering units consist of a pump and built-in reservoir for power steering fluid (consult the manual or dealer for proper fluid type as some use Power Steering Fluid and others use Auto Transmission Fluid). The capacity is about a quart.
If you're loosing / adding fluid frequently, you have a leak. The system is a closed type, meaning all the fluid is circulated in the system and theoretically should never "require topping off." Look for wet hoses or drips under the car. Slip a piece of cardboard under the front of the car overnight to see how much / where the leak is located. Have the leak repaired - duct tape will not work!
Good luck!

Changed tranmission fluid and filter. how much fluid do i need to refill

The brake fluid capacity of a typical automobile, including the 1979 Datsun 280ZX, is surprisingly small - only around 250ml - but more than this should be used to ensure a good flush.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just purchased a 99 GMC Suburban. Besides a LOF should I change Trans. fluid, Raidator fluid or any other fluids right-away?

hello thee and welcome to fixya
Sounds like you have yourself a very nice automobile there>
By all means yes you deffinatly want to change the trans fluid and the filter expecially i have seen more transmissions fail because owners do not change out this 30 dollar part .
Also yes the radiator flush and backflush then drain and refill with a 50/50 mixture of a good brand of antifreeze
Also have the rear Axel fluid checked and changed if needed
Other than that things like the power steering fluid and the windshield wiper fluid of course check them if the power steering fluid os of a dark brown color and has a smoky smell to it then i would change it ok
Hope this is very helpful for you
Please rate the solution it helps us give our customers a better service too
Best regards Mike

What is the pink stuff leaking from the heads on my 1997 dodge grand caravan

The only "pink" fluids are:
1. Transmission fluid 2. Power steering fluid 3. Some types of washer fluid (rare) 4. Some types of AntiFreeze-Coolant are red, although most (80%) are lime or yellow/green.
The most common fluid leak from the head is coolant and is usually form a gasket leak. You say heads as in plural, which I take to mean a V6 engine. But since having both head having a leaking gasket is remote I assume that there was a typo and you are referring to one head.
Are you loosing fluid from the radiator and/or having overheating problem, then suspect the head gasket, It is a major repair.
Post comment with additional info, ie exact location of fluid and how much. Is it leaking to the floor? When does it leak the most, standing cold or engine running hot? Doesthe fluid feel oily or more just like water?

Where do you put transmission fluid into the transmission?

First you have to drain old fluid.

The drain plug is towards the front of the transmission.
The refill port is closed by a bolt located at the top of the transmission
