The electrical adjustment on our 2003 Pontiac Grand Am no longer works. Can we replace this seat with a manual one from a junkyard?

Most likely. The body mounting points for the seat(s) should be the same, whether manual or electric. Just be sure to use a seat form a compatible model/year vehicle. Most knowledgeable junkyards know which modes are cross-compatible.

Driver side seat will not adjust and the steering wheel adjust will not work.

If adjustment is electric check fuses in fuse box, if it is mechanic you need to take apart steering and seat, in this case is better to go to a garage.

IF you have a manually adjusted seat then check that the wires/cables from the lever to the tracks are still attached . If you have electric adjusted check for power to the motor.

I think you have a short in the seat motor. Doublecheck circuit breaker for electric seats. It has a reset button on it. Perhaps it has tripped. If yes, need to find short in seat.

The driver's seat in my 2003 Hyundai Elantra will not adjust. A few days ago, the seat seemed to snap and now the seat adjusters don't work and I can no longer raise the front edge of the seat. Is this...

if you take the seat right out of the car and turn it upside down you can see quite plainly how it is covered/sprung and how the adjusters work(wire cables)once out,you really cant make any mistakes as you can see it all.

Automatic seats will not adjust (which fuse is it?)

If it is just the automatic function check fuses no 3 (7.5 amp) and 109 (30 amp) in the central fuse panel (one inside the vehicle)
