Question about 2001 Ford F150 Styleside SuperCrew
Based on my experience with this truck with the 5.5 L at the Ford dealer this problem is a sticking electric fuel pump, if it was another problem you would have a trouble code, replace the fuel pump, check the connectior to pump as well for burning and replace the fuel filter.

Could possibly be a camshaft sensor or crankshaft sensor. If the vehicle does not register that the vehicle is on number one cylinder it will not crank. This is usually read by the camshaft sensor.
