Lubricate all moving parts well, and spray silicone in guides along sides where window slides up and down, as well as check for proper alignment. If memory serves me right, I believe there was a bolt or bolts at bottom of door, that you loosen, to change angle of window, for better alignment. Test it, and when you find position that it works best and slides easiest, tighten.

If you replaced the window and then the problem appeared, you have to adjust the tracks in the door. You will see bolts that have slotted holes on the tracks where they are mounted to the door panel. Just loosen and adjust so window does not bind. When you take off the inner door panel you will see the bolts, you would of already had them out to replace the window. The adjustment is not always the same for the new window as the old one. It just happens that way it is nothing you did wrong. Once adjusted you should have no more troubles with the window.

You may need to open up everything and lubricate all moving mechanism etc before it will be better.Watch the path of where the window sits, look if there has been any damage to it while replacing window.Follow these and your problem should be solved.

SOURCE: i need to fix my driver side window

Sorry but you need a new window regulator assembly. There is no way to repair them as they are made cheaply and once they break or bend they don't ever work right again. Napa has a part number for them here: BK 6653604
Window Regulator - Left Front 1 0 u_clear.gif 180.86 BodyStyle:2 Dr. Coupe;
or for a 4 door: BK 6653606
Window Regulator - Left Front 1 0.00 u_clear.gif 180.86 BodyStyle:4 Dr. Sedan; the trade cost is 155.00 if you know someone with an account.
As an ex-gm tech I recommend a new gm part though I do not have the part number for that.
Have someone do this that is familiar with door panel removal or you will have a bunch of broken fasteners and the door panel will be loose fitting and rattle. Good luck . Scott

SOURCE: 98 corolla drivers side window won't roll down or up well

I respectfully disagree.

WD-40 contains volatile ketones that will damage the rubber.
Pure silicone spray is the ticket here.

What you have going wrong is a bad "positive temperature coefficient thermister" in the window motor. It cannot be replaced, it is part of the motor assembly. You are going to probably need to replace the motor in the near future. The PTC understands a slight overheat condition, and when the motor "drags", or goes slow, the PTC opens up like a circuit breaker. Then, after it cools off, it closes, and the motor works again.

Lube the rubbers with silicone, and consider replacing the motor.

Need to get a wiring diagram. Buy a book and follow the wiring schematic. It should help you out majorly. Can't really work on electrical issues without one.

its pretty simple. take the inside inspection plate off, dont break tabs, unplug the electric connector, take out the 3 screws and mirror comes off. replace in reverse order. Its easier if you roll down window.

Passenger side window won't roll up using the driver's side switc

Before you replace anything, inspect the connector pins in both the driver's door switch and the passenger door switch. If you don't find any problem with these connector pins, replace the driver's door control switch.
