Have u checked wires, plugs, injectors? You may want to also check your air filter, clean your fuel sensor which should be located before the intake and after the airbox.

I am curious to know what the scan told you when you originally checked it? A lot of people spend way more money than they should changing parts and guessing at the fix. Tell me a little more about the what the scan results.

05 taurus spits and sputters on startup when cold

This can be caused by a problem in the fuel pressure check valve of the fuel pump. Have a pressure leak down test run by a shop, if the system is losing pressure then the pump assembly must be replaced. The fuel pump is located inside the gas tank and is electric

Lots of crank no ignition a little sputter but no start

If an engine cranks but refuses to start, it lacks ignition, fuel or compression. Was it running fine but quit suddenly? The most likely causes here would be a failed fuel pump

After starting car it sputters and white smoke from exhast. I drive the car for 5 min, sputtering the whole time, and turn it off - will not start until it is cranked and gas pressed for couple min. Then...

White smoke is usually from water and water will make the car splutter. Did you get water in your tank at some time. If you have water in your fuel, you will have to drain the tank and refill with good fuel. The engine will run fine once it is hot but if a lot of water goes into a hot cylinder it can cause a lot of damage.
