This is because there is slightly more stain on the motor and the compressor is adding heat to the engine compartment. The main cause is due to the condenser location. This is what makes the super heated liquid into a gas, and it is located in front of the radiator and takes away from the cooling effect of the air going across the radiator.

If you are referring to the engine of the car running warmer and sure that the radiator has no leaks and does not loose coolant that much, you may want to check the tension of the fan belt and the pulley. A squeak may also mean a bad bearing or pulley. You may also want to check the freon in the system. You may have the wrong pressing in. The engine may be warmer because it is having difficulty running the AC.

My 2002 dodge dakota sxt 3.9 v6 is running to warm

It could be a partially clogged radiator. You say it is running warmer than normal....how much warmer? If it is overheating, that is an issue that must be repaired ASAP. Otherwise, you may have some time to narrow down the options. Two quick things to check - shine a light through the radiator from behind when it is dark outside to see if the are any areas of the radiator that are not passing air through. Also, ensure that the fan shroud that surrounds the fan itself is properly in place. This ensures good draw through the radiator.

AC works for about 300 miles then stops and blows hot air. New AC compressor and freon charge. After sitting for a while it will again blow cold.

I think you have a similar problem to mine. At highway speeds is when it happens. And it is not blazing hot? Right?
Your evaporator is freezing up - as this happens the ice surrounding it prevents the flow of air over the evaporator coils and the result is warm air coming out of the registers. If I turn off the AC for about ten minutes and let unit melt the cold air comes back. This does not occur in stop and go driving.
I combat it by either running the fan at a higher than normal setting to increase air flow over the evaporator and then turning off when it gets too cold, OR using the air control to allow warmer outside air to enter into unit at highway speeds to prevent freezing up.
Newer cars have more sophisticated sensors and controls to prevent this but some older vehicles are subject to this anomaly.
Since it works fine under normal conditions I have not messed around with the freon level in system. If you release a tad of refrigerant the low pressure switch will shut off the compressor sooner and help minimize ice buildup. Good luck.

Overheating

May have an air pocket if running a bit warmer then usual. I believe this make has a bleed of screw in front of the engine. Try cracking it when warm to get rid of air, close when no more air is present. . If that doesn't help you may have to get a scan tool go to live data and see actual temp of motor.

Blowing the ac fuse. Replaced it and it blew again a mile down the road.

You have a short in the wiring running between the fuse box and the compressor. If you can follow the wires you should notice that one is worn/broken. You may get lucky and the short is located at the end of the wire (either at the fuse box or at the compressor).

It may also be that the compressor is low on refrigerant, was the AC blowing very cold air before you had the problem, or was the air slowly getting warmer and warmer.

I would check the wiring first, make sure you disconnect the negative battery terminal before you mess with any wiring.

I have a 2000 Dodge Caravan 3.0 V-6 and my problem is tha t after the AC compressor was recharged, the engine developed a knock at low RPM's. We replaced the the rod bearings in the engine and I still have...

From what I understand, and I also have a 2000 Caravan with the 3.0 V6 is that this is a common noise the engine makes and just part of operation of the engine. Some people have told me if you run Pennzoil motor oil it will help, in that Pennzoil has paraffin as one of the lubricating additives and it supposedly quiets the ticking in the engine. I don't run it up here in the North Country because paraffin can build up inside the valve covers and cause operational issues in the winter. However, if you are in a warmer climate and don't use it currently, try an oil change switch to Pennzoil and see if it helps.

Ac does not blow cold at idle... ac condenser fan

that seems to be the problem. If the fan does not turn on when the a/c is turned on it could be a fuse, relay, control box, or just a bad fan. Try connecting the fan directly to see if it works. Does this car have 2 fans? normally all the small cars have 2 fans one for the engine cooling and one to assist the first when the a/c is turned on. Without the fan pulling air through the a/c condensor the had pressure goes up high enough to shut off the a/c compressor. It also causes some cars to run warmer than usual when stopped. Check the a/c condensor for blockage also which doesn't have anything to do with your fan not working.
