Attached to the valve body of the transmission. Remove the transmission oil pan to gain access.

Governor pressure regulator and govern pressure sensor can fix this. When you pull the pan to replace them. If there is metal in the pan, don't worry about them. You have other problems. Time for a rebuild.

Code 1757 means the transmission governor pressure is above 3psi when it should be zero. The sensor and circuit would need to be tested.

1999 durango shifts hard runs up high rpm then shifts. only between first and second. if you increase speed moderayely it will jump out of second and into first with very high rpm

I have seen alot of governor pressure issues whith those and sometimes the oxygen sensor can short out they share the same ground so if whoever works on this changes governor solenoid and pressure switch bring this to there attention and change the 02 sensor at same time.

Transmission not shifting

This is usually caused from a bad governor solenoid or governor pressure sensor.

What this code mean p1756

Governor pressure in the trans is not correct. Fairly easy fix. Drop the trans pan and get a governor pressure solenoid from your local dealer. Bolts in pretty easy.

2000 Dodge Durango - P1757 GOV Pressure Not Equal

I have had to replace the governor on those dodge transmissions, and there is a filtering metal mesh screen around the governor inlet port that seems to always get plugged up with small metal shavings. The governor is located under the transmission pan to the rear of the main valve body.
