I have a 2002 ford explore , the revese lights will not go on when in revese gear ??? have changed neutral saftey switch, cheched bulbs wiring, sockets.

When a driver engages the reverse gear he or she automatically switches the reverse light on by triggering the switch on and if the lights are not coming on it means that a number of reasons are to blame. I will start with fuses and the wiring around the switch. Thank you for using fixya!

Transmission won't go move in frist. no revese. can't push it backwards no matter what gear.

It sounds the sprag clutch in the transmission has locked up. Will it move if you put it in 2nd? If you put the shifter in 2nd on a Ford it will start out in 2nd and stay in 2nd. The trany is going to have come out.

1976 corvette shifter locked up, goes in revese & neutral only

You're going to have to crawl underneath it, and see what's going on. Your linkage has probably come loose, and the shifter is sliding on the rod, instead of changing gears like it should.

How to replace the revese light of hyundai elantra 2003

1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the nuts holding the rear combination lamp. 3. Disconnect the connector and remove the lamp assembly.

It is located in the trunk, behind the furthest rearward panel. (right inboard of the light housing).
