Do make sure that you get proper coolant /antifreeze if proper coolant / antifreeze is not available you can use universal coolant / antifreeze.

You'll need to drain from the radiator drain plug, then refill through the coolant bottle, remember to use 50/50 mix of coolant / antifreeze and deionized or distilled water.
Also remember before draining out the old coolant that you should add radiator flush or coolant system cleaner to get the insides clean.
Coolant can be very very hot, be very careful, do not open the radiator cap while hot, the cooling system is under pressure and will burn you is hot coolant is contacted, also hot coolant can make your skin to bubble or deform when very hot and under pressure.

WHERE does the antifreeze go in Suzuki eiger 400 4x4 05 go? I don't see an radiator cap or anything

there will be an expansion tank that hold/refill the coolant , look for plastic tank could be round , square beside rad , with coolant hoses to it , make sure engine cold when removing cap, will need to drain old coolant before refilling with new , worth checking the coolant strenght before draining as may still be ok

PICTURE OF PURGE LINE DIAGRAM FORTHE COOLANT SYSTEM OF A 2001 CADILLAC DEVILLE DHS ENGINE

There are a lot of coolant lines around the Northstar engine, but not one called a "purge line" that I am aware of. The coolant system is designed to be a closed system, and is never purged.

However, there is a rubber drain line on the pressurized overflow tank that will release coolant on excessive pressure sensed by the rad cap on the tank, or if the rad cap is faulty. If the system has a leak anywhere, it will not hold required pressure and that will always cause overheating. If you are losing coolant, that is the first place to look (bad rad cap, or cracked tank or line from the tank to the rad).

Why low coolant light wont go off

Hi

Make sure you get all the air out of the system the coolant needs to be in contac with the sensor on the radiator, or intake manifold or, on thermo housing, also make sure all wires terminals are on and vaccum lines are connected,, you may have to drain some coolant out of the rad and start it up and wait till the thermostat opens this way you know you have complete circulation so you can refill Rad to make sure you have no air in cooling system top up and put cap back on and check the lite.

Also check your over flow tank make sure its at the level needed it also has a sensor or indicator switch before you do any of the above

I have a 1994 toyota camry v6, today my car boiled all the coolant out of the reservoir tank. I had a problem with disapearing coolant a few months back. I flushed the system tightened all the hoses and...

If you have eliminated as a cause:-

- silted up radiator
- fans not running (if they are running the temp sender is OK)
- leaky head gasket putting gasses into the water jacket
- radiator hose going soft and closing up

then that leaves the thermostat being stuck closed. Also if the coolant is disappearing this may still be a hidden leak. The V6 has a joint under the inlet manifold which is prone to leaking coolant, and on a hot motor the water disappears quickly.

Water pump replaced yesterday now engine is over heating. Could it be the thermostat also? or could it be air pocet causing problem?

yes i t could be the thermostat but before u change that make sure u dont have air in the cooling system.first raise your car up so that the overflow resivoir or rad is at the highest point ,open cap ,turn on vehicle and let it get hot.if it still overheating and not drawing any coolant shut off the vehicle, replace the res or rad cap back on and alow time to cool.when u come back and check after, coolant should have made, its way through the sysytem .if coolant is low repeat process untill u reach hot line on resivor.

How to i flush a radiator on a 2000 expedition and what tools do i need?

you need, knife/ gear clamp, screwdriver /nut driver (for gear clamp) and garden hose
with water pressure hook up hot water is better
you can buy a can or to of rad flush but dishwasher soap works good (it wont suds up )
also rad flush kit with garden hose addapter (most kit are compatable)
1-drain existing coolant in container for recycling
2-locate heater return hose to block and cut to installed flush kit addapter
always better to reveres flussh system with engine off and rad cap removed
drain valve closed hook up garden hose and run hot tap water true system
it will eventually cove out your rad cap (surge tank) until it runs clear
know sut off the garden hose add your cleaning additives installed rad filler cap
run engine per direction on can or 10 to 15 min. sut off engine removed filler cap
open drain valve on radiator and drain out system open water from garden hose
run water until clean water run true shut off garden hose and removed cap off with
cap supplied with kit let system drain completly . repeat cleaning operation until
water runs clear
add 1 jug of concentrated coolant (will mix with ressidual water and finish filling
system with premix used recomended coolant only for your engine your freeze
point of new coolant should be above spec and will be fine
do not used pure concentrated coolant only .your ownners manual spec section will
give capacities system will hold

2002 pt cruiser overheating was told i need a new raditor and thermostat for 1 grand sounds fishy

Flush rad & change coolant & thermostat. Check operation of rad fan, & make sure it is coming on when engine reaches normal operating temperature. Be sure to bleed air out good when refilling rad/cooling system. Start engine & turn heater on when refilling & let rad fan come on & off at least 2 or 3 times before putting cap back on rad, and refill rad as needed as you do this. then fill return bottle to proper level & see what happens.
