Question about 1999 Daewoo Lanos
Hi i have a Daewoo Lanos R Reg 1600. It keeps draining the battery. I did a voltage test & get 14.4v across Batt terminals @ 2,000 RPMS. So think Alternator O.K. Im told it may be a wiring fault. I disconected the positve side of Battery put my multimeter between battery & disconnected lead. The meter picked up a small amount of current. I pulled the fuse circuits and found the the Ignition circuit when pulled gave no readings. As it appears there may be an earth fault on the ignition system, not sure what i need to check next. Anybody got any ideas.
I have replace the ignition switch itself in Hondas that had starting problems. The switches were worn out.My idea is maybe they use a simular switch. Unfortunatly I think the last one I bought was like $55.00 retail. If you do a ignition switch make sure you disconnect the battery first.
I hope this info helps.
