Its not unusual to have the wheel stuck in place by grime and rust or cooked on greese .. make sure the van is secure with jack stands and tire blocks to make sure it cant move .. then you can kick the tire or hit it with a rubber mallet.. sometimes you have to use a bit of effort but it will break loose ..you can **** it from the top then front then back and bottom .. that should pop it loose ... its unusual but if it doesnt come loose then you can rent or buy a special wheel puller ... this attaches to your wheel then puts force via the lug bolts to force the wheel to break loose as you tighten it .. dont try to drive without lug nuts in place .. you could take it to a garage or friend that does mechanical work . they likely wont charge you for breaking it loose .. ..

Change tire

You need a jack to lift the vehicle high enough to get the tire off and the new one on, you need a lug wrench to loosen and tighten the lug nuts and depending on the rims you might have hub caps that are part of the rim or seperate and if they are seperate, you need something to pry them off with. So the proper way to do this is:
Before you raise it with the jack, take the lug wrench and loosen the lug nuts a little. This is easier when the tire is on the ground because depending on the tire location, it will turn if you lift it. So when the weight is on it, it wont turn. Then you put the jach under the car and near the tire you are lifting and you use the jack to raise the tire. Then finish taking the lug nuts off. Remove the tire and put the new tire on. You may have to raise the jack some more to make it high enough. Put the lug nuts back on tight as you can and lower the car. Then tighten the lug nuts again to be sure. You should tighten lug nuts by skipping them. In other words start with one and tighten it, skip the next one and tighten the third one. When you go all the way around, go to the ones you skipped and tighten those.

How do i change the back tire

Find the jack and jack up the rear just in front of the rear tire you are changing. (don't lift off ground completely yet). Using the lug wrench (also called a tire iron) break loose each lug nut.

Finish raising the vehicle just high enough that the tire isn't touching the ground. Finish removing the lug nuts, then pull tire off. Put new (different/spare) tire on, and put the lug nuts back on, and tighten by hand until tire is snug. With the car still raised, lightly tighten the lug nuts, until snug again (by use of lug wrench).

Lower car completely and tighten the lug nuts again (do not over tighten). At all points of tightening lug nuts, do so in a criss cross pattern. Start with one, then move to the one directly across from that, and so on (not all will be "directly" across at all times, so just make sure you alternate and don't go in any consecutive (clockwise/counter clockwise) order.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Howdo i romove the spare tire beneath my mitsubishi adventure gls 2007 model

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly.

Open the back door. On the RH side there is a round button type handle. Pull the handle. The nut cover for the spare tire will open. Use the tire lug wrench to loosen the nut substantially. Then push up on the frame and swing the nut and threaded lock assy out of the retaining area of the spare tire frame. Then slide the tire out for use.

Thanks again for using FixYa.

How to change the front tire of a Neon 2000?

Loosen the lug nuts. Jack the car up to where the tire is off the ground only slightly. Remove the lug nuts. Pull the old tire off. Put the spare tire on. While holding the spare on, put the lugs back on. Hand tighten them. Drop the car from the jack. Then tighten up the lugs again.

How do you change a tire on a honda crv? I need to get the tire off the back door and change the driver side front tire. Where does the jack go?

The owners manual shows where to put the jack. I no manual sometimes there are illustrations where the jack is stored in its compartment. First loosen the lug nuts before you jack up the vehicle, prevents the tire from turning. After jacking up the vehicle finish removing the lug nuts then remove the tire. The spare tire on the door may have a locking lug nut which requires a key to unlock before removing the lug nuts. Key us usually on the ignition key ring. Remove the lug nuts and put tire on the drivers side. Tighten up the nuts on the wheel and after the car is let down from the jack, finish tightening the lug nuts.
