I would check your fuse board for a loose fuse or wire to it from the battery as sometimes vibration loosens terminals eric

Battery replaced. Now, wipers, dash gauges, locks dont work and headlights stay on?

check all the fuses and replace any that are blown. also check beattery wires and make sure the positive wires are not touching anything metal.look for burnt marks or black spots on the wires too. also have the battery fuse/relay checked.

Dash lights work but no gauges in my 1994 dodge intrepid!! i have checked every fuse i can find in the dash and under the hood but they still won't work, they don't even flicker when i turn my key....

If you have a 1993-1995 Intrepid and you have a check engine light, you can find out what the codes are by following this process:
To obtain fault codes using the MIL (Check Engine Light):

1. Cycle ignition key to ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON within 5 second (do not actually crank engine!!)

2. Count the number of times the MIL on the instrument panel flashes on and off. The number of flashes represents the trouble code. There is a slight pause between the flashes representing the first and second digits of the code. Longer pauses seperate the individual two digit trouble code.

Example:
Lamp flashes 4 times, pauses, then flashes 6 more times. This is an indicates a DTC of 46.

3. Lamp will always flash 55 at the end of the test. This signals the end of the test.

You have put the computer in diagnostic mode and it will now display any codes that have been stored in memory. Each code will refer to a symptom your car is feeling.

Here is a list of all codes that can be displayed and what they mean:

Post Back With A Code, If you get one.
I Hope this Helps,

After reading through the Article, Pop the Hood and Check out the Grounding Locations. Look for any wire that looks like it should go somewhere. Screw it down (Ground) to the Frame Rail.
First Disconnect the Negative from Battery For a couple Minutes,
If the Engine was replaced they mighta missed a couple Grounds.
One is front Driver corner by the Battery
Two is on Passenger Corner.

My 1995 dodge intrepids battery died i charged the battery but now my gauges and wipers wont work. Does anyone know how to reset the car so they will work?

You can take the host side battery post off the battery to reset the car. Make sure you check all your fuses first. It could be your dash fuse. If not, you may have an electrical problem in that wiring harness.

Having a wiper problem. The interior fuse keeps blowing out. What can be the problem?

I take it you mean the fuse for the wipers. Fuses blow when the circuit is overloaded or a short circuit occurs ((bare wires touching or earthing). You could have a wiper motor that is running tight (feel the motor if it is getting hot) or a wire could be chaffed through and causing a short circuit. The vehicle is not yet old enough to display increased internal resistance in the wiring which would cause fuses to blow. If the motor is found to be running hot, either strip it, clean all the parts and re-grease it, make sure that the shafts turn freely before reinstalling it. (Have a look if any other systems are affected when the wiper fuse blows, the problem could lie elsewhere).

2000 Dodge Intrepid Interior Lights work sporadically

Probably a faulty door switch or loose door. Check which door appears to stick out past rest of body more than others, or try pushing in on doors & see which one appears loosest, and adjust striker to tighten it up a bit, and see if that cures it.

Fuse blowing on contact

find the short circuit, to do this disconnect the systems the fuse supplies power to one at a time until u isolate the one that is shorted to ground, then it is matter of checking the wiring harness until u find the damaged wiring.

The ignition switch is faulty if the gauges and dash lights will not come on, change the fuses first. Transmission fluid and filter change needed. Differential gear oil change also needed.
