If this is an automatic transmission you may want to check the solenoid that sends the signal to change gears. It may need cleaning or you may have to replace it. Also check the oil if it needs replacement. If it is a manual tranny, have the clutch disk checked out if it needs replacement.

Where is the dip stick for transmission

There should be a tube coming out of the transmission with the dipstick in it. But I have heard on some newer cars (don't know about yours-check with the dealer), that they don't even have a fluid level dipstick. How crazy is that??

Transmissios slippen after i replaced fluid n filter

this is normal when the clutch facing in the clutch packs are worn. It means the transmission need to be rebuilt. If you did save your old fluid I suggest you filter it out , drain the new fluid you just added and reinstall your old fluid. The reason you will see metallic fibers in your old fluid. These fibers are from the clutch facing that were worn away. They will fill the void were the wear is at to it will shift again. Note when filtering take a good look for metal shavings. If seen it will be no use to perform the above. It means the wear is way to much in the trans and needs to be rebuilt instead

Car chugs and jerks like crazy while cruising

Determine whether the jerking is engine or transmission related. One way to determine if it is the transmission lock up converter is acting erratically is to down shift out of OD. And see if jerking persist. If it goes away suspect transmission to have problems with torque converter or TCC solenoid . If it doesn't go away determine whether or not the engine sounds to be misfiring. If so vehicle may require a tune up. Many vehicles can be diagnosed for free at your local Auto Zone.

You will need to take it to a shop to have your torque convertor solenoid and circuit checked. The torque convertor solenoid has a ball ans seat in it and the ball gets stuck at times and lets your convertor stay engaged. the solenoid shouldn't be more than 50.00 and about 2-3 hrs labor cost, plus top off trans mission fluid.
