I have a chrysler lhs 1994 with a bad front wheel bearing and i need instruction on repair

These are the steps you need to follow for this procedure if you have the proper tools.
  1. Remove front caliper assembly and rotor from the steering knuckle as outlined under "Caliper, Replace" in the "Disc Brake" unit repair section.
  2. Remove hub and bearing to stub axle retaining nut.
  3. Disconnect hub bolts then remove hub and bearing assembly from steering knuckle by sliding it straight off end of stub axle. If metal seal on hub and bearing assembly is seized to steering knuckle and becomes dislodged on hub and bearing assembly during removal, or when removing hub and bearing, the finger disc on hub becomes damaged, hub and bearing assembly must be replaced.
  4. If hub and bearing will not slide out of knuckle, insert a prybar between hub and steering knuckle and gently pry hub and bearing from knuckle.
  5. Tighten stub shaft nut, lower vehicle and with brakes applied, torque stub shaft nut to 70 - 90 ft. lbs.

I can't get the hub off to replace the rotor.

4X4?..Then you have to remove the lock-out,then use a hub socket which is about 3 inches in diameter with 4 notches in it to remove the ratchet nut inside the hub..then after the hub is off,put a lug nut on the studs and hammer them down out of the hub and the hub should come off.you may have to hammer on the hub all the way around because the rotor and hub fit together pretty tight.

Broken Lug Studs

You have to remove the hub to remove the bolts, if they won't come out by rotating the hub.

To remove the hub, take the cap off at the center of the hub (the cap would be poking you a the center of the hub, and is about 2 inches in diameter.

There should be a cotter key or something preventing the spindle nut from turning. Remove it. If there is a cover over the spindle nut, remove it. Take the spindle nut off. Pull lightly on the hub, and it will come off. Watch for the front bearing to pop out.

To reassemble, put hub back on spindle, put bearing and washer against bearing, thread on spindle nut and tighten while rotating hub. Back off 1/2 to 1 flat add cover (if used) and install cotter key.
