HEADLIGHTS not working in my 1989 dodge w150

There is a good chance that you need a headlight switch and possibly a wiring pigtail, especially if you pull a trailer with clearance lights.

Why don't the headlights work?

Look for blown fuse in the fuse panel. Make sure boat is not connected, replace fuse, see if lights return. If they return, you have a short in your trailer lights or connector (car or trailer).

When i plug a trailer up to my 2002 F-250 pickup, the trailer park lights don't work. Brake and turn signals work.

Just a thought, do the park lights come on when you turn on the headlights? Mine only come on when the headlights are on, which also powers the tail lights.

You checked to make sure you didn't blow all the bulbs at once?
If your front park lights work, then the headlight switch is probably alright.
You may have a taillight relay in your fusebox. Check the owner's manual. It may show it.

Trailer lights do not work unless headlights/parking lights are turned on.

your trailer is not wired correctly for your vehicle if you have to have the headlights or parking lights on and the turn signal or brake lights on your trailer will not work otherwise

Headlight won't come on

The headlights have 2 fuses. One is a main power feed under the hood in the distrabution box and the other is under the dashboard. Check the fuses and then check for power at the switch. If you have power at the switch then its not a fuse its the switch and the trailer you had connected most likely shorted and back fed into the parking and dash light circuit. Those circuits also run from the light switch.
