what makes you think there is one,? not in the traditional sense, no.

its missing for a good reason, on many newer cars.

AF33-5 trans box>?
fsm quote ( only an ecerpt, not COMPLETE< READ THE BOOK.
Important: Routine inspection of the transaxle fluid is not required. Transaxle fluid inspection is only required if there is a symptom indicating a concern with the fluid.
  1. Park the vehicle on a flat level surface.
  2. Operate the vehicle in order for the transmission fluid temperature to reach the normal operating range. Specification
    Transaxle normal temperature: 60-70 degrees C (140-158 degrees F)
  3. With the engine at idle, manual shift through all transaxle ranges and return to the PARK position. Leave the engine idling.
  4. Clean any dirt or debris away from the area of the transaxle fluid level indicator.
  5. Remove the transaxle fluid level indicator bolt (1) from the transaxle.
  6. Remove the transaxle fluid level indicator (2).
  7. Wipe away any transaxle fluid from the indicator.
  8. Insert the indicator into the transaxle until fully seated.
  9. Remove the indicator and inspect the level and the condition of the oil on the indicator:
    • Transmission fluid level at normal operating temperature (1)
    • Transmission fluid level if cold (2)
  10. If the fluid level is incorrect inspect for the following conditions:
    • Fluid below level, inspect for a leak.
    • Fluid above level, inspect for contamination of the fluid.
Important: The tranaxle uses T-IV fluid, GM P/N 88900925 (Canadian P/N 22689186). The fluid is normally red in color. The oil may darken in color with more miles on a vehicle.

CAPACITIES
Automatic transmission, 42LE Initial Fill..........4.6 quarts [1]

1. With ENG at operating temperature, shift through all gears. Check fluid level in PARK and add fluid as needed.

What type of transmission fluid does a 1988 lebaron with a manual transmission?

Some early vehicles may be equipped with the A-412 manual transaxle. This unit can be identified by locating the position of the starter which is found on the radiator side of the engine compartment. If it becomes necessary to add fluid to this unit, SAE 80W-90 gear lube is recommended.
If your vehicle has the A-460 or A-465 manual transaxle (4- and 5-speed transaxles respectively), the starter will be next to the firewall. When it becomes necessary to add fluid to this unit, AFT+3 is recommended. On the A-520 and A-555 manual transaxles used in 1987-88 models, add SAE 5W-30 SG or SG/CC or the equivalent.

Changing transmission fluid for 06 Kia Sedona

Transmissions these days need very little maintenance, our fluids are advanced formulas that hold up for an average of 100,000 miles, most vehicle manufactures recommend no maintenance for automatic transaxles these days.As for a transmission flush I don't recommend this because it's an expense that is not needed and possibly could loosen some contaminants setting them loose to possibly clog some of the very small passages in the transaxle requiring full transaxle service, which could include removal, dissassembly, etc of your trans. Now draining and replacing fluid is OK if that makes you feel a peace of mind but normally not needed,if you decide to do that,as far as quantity just note approx. how much fluid is drained and purchase similar amount in quarts and then refill (DO NOT OVERFILL)
start engine, let it warm up to operating temp, then check the transmission dipstick for the correct level, remember the vehicle needs to be on a level surface, hot idiling in park when you check the fluid level. Good luck !

Manual transmissions and transaxles require light viscosity and low pressure fortified oils. AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) has advanced additive technology that provides proper friction characteristics for smooth shifting without grinding. It also provides excellent bearing and gear protection. AMSOIL Synchromesh Transmission Fluid provides superior protection for manual transmissions copared to conventional lubricants, lasting up to four times longer under real road conditions
