Only when I start the car I hear noise like tktktktk for 5 sec and after 5 sec is gone, and noise is coming from above dashboard close to mid line of the car. What it's problem?

Sounds like valve lifter noise. I take a two foot long screw driver and press the handle to my ear and the hard end to the point I am trying to listen from. I would listen to the valve cover and around other points on the engine. If it is from the valve train, the very first thing to do is to check the engine oil level, and oil pressure. If they are low you would have this problem. I do not think it is valve adjustment because it goes away after a few seconds. Next suspect is a valve lifter with a collapsed spring. If it is that the lifter will need to be replaced, and that requires enough effort that usually your engine has enough miles on it, that it is not worth fixing. Live with it until you replace the engine.

Very loud Clacking noise under valve cover ,car still runs what is it and will it blow up?

It sounds to me that your valve may have collapsed or you have a bad can bearing... Or a bad lifter...either way its a pretty bad problem.put some Lucas oil in there if nothing changes don't drive the car have a micanic look at it

Audi a4 1998 tapping noise only when idles under valve cover

Sounds like a bad valve lifter or a valve out of adjustment. It's probably a bad hydraulic valve lifter. In idle, when the oil pressure is lowest, it is not filling with oil. When the motor revs up, oil pressure rises and fills the faulty lifter.
If you do have mechanical lifters, the valve is probably out of adjustment. If you do car work, pull the valve cover and see if it's adjustable. Of course, you'll need the specs from VW/Audi.
Otherwise, it's probably a shop job.
Sorry.

Ticking noise from engine on 1997 kia sportage

Sounds like your problem might be bad lifter or bad rocker arm spring. Either way you'll probably have to remove the valve cover to check both. You might also go to a parts place and purchase an oil additive to see if it might help free up the lifter...if thats what it is.

Engine makes a rapping noise at idle and under throttle.

The rapping noise makes me think that it might be a broken belt or even the lifters. It could be even your fan. Check the blades to se if they are bent or broken.

Ticking noise from engine

You might have a bad hydraulic valve lifter (assuming this engine has them)... you could try an aftermarket product designed to unstick valve lifters.... any auto parts store carries them.

I have a 1998 hyundai excel 1.5litre

If the noise is emanating from under the valve cover, it isn't the timing chain. It can be a stuck lifter and you might want to try a lifter cleaner from an auto parts store. I think you will need to change the oil after adding the cleaner and running the engine for a while. If the engine uses mechanical lifters, the noise could be coming from a bent rocker arm or a worn push rod.
You may be able to narrow down the source of the noise by using a longer screwdriver, placing the tip at various places and resting the handle on the bone behind your ear. Obviously, stay well clear of anything rotating.

2001 FORD FOCUS LOAD TICKING NOISE

it very well can be that depending on the severity of the ticking noise, if it sounds like its coming from the top of the engine, place your hand on it only when you first start it up and if you can feel it knocking slightly and if the noise dies away once warmed up id say its your lifter, if its a heavier knocking rather than a ticking and comes from below or bottom end of engine it may be big end bearing, not good. try putting some engine treatment through the engine oil and make sure you run it in as directions state then change the oil and filter and see if that helps :)

Mazda cx7 engine noise

Does the engine have hydraulic lifters? If so air can get into the chamber under the lifter and cause lifter noise.

Diagnosis and repair requires removing the Valve Cover. A fairly easy job for your local shop.
