You need two jacks and jack stands (for safety while you are working under the truck)--one jack to lift the truck frame and the other to lift the axle to take the load off of the spring. Do only one side at a time.

- The appropriate response is to remove the offending bumper bracket. You could rent one of those mechanical 'farm' jacks that can jack up several feet.

i hit a median very hard then next morning it would only crank but not start. i did get it started 4 a few seconds by pumping the gas but it was backfiring and i just shut it off now it dont start at all. when i turn key no noise at all did a wire come loose on the starter?

vehicle was involved in accident dealership claims jumped time -runs and makes a noise like rattling -never gives same codes -first diag .code po301 said no compression on cyl 1 and 3-tore timing apart and cams are not jumped all marks correct and chains tight nothing damaged-took back and they re scanned and codes-poo12-poo22-po345-runs good cold but rattles when warm stalls- smokes like blown up -let it sit a few minutes it will crank back up but no telling how long it will run . after first diag checked compression my self was 125 to 150 all 6 cyls.where do we go from here
