Question about 1997 Honda Civic
I have a 1997 Honda Civic LX 4 Door. When I press on the gas, the engine makes a loud noise. It sounds like something is wrong with the exhaust, but I just had the muffler replaced a year ago. The sound seems to go away at 40-45mph, but then comes back. The noise is not contstant, but pretty close. I'm thinking that it might be the exhaust manifold, but not sure. If it is, how difficult is it to replace the exhaust manifold?

See if te noise is there when stationary. if so hold the revs around 1500 to 2000 rpm if it rattles around that, then it is the heat sheild on the down pipe section thats broken free.
