Oil,Trans fluid and new plugs unrelated. Was check eng light on before fluid changes? Try disconnecting battery for 10 min to reset any stored codes and see if they come back. If they do you will have to take it to a shop with a scan tool too proceed from there. Problably a coinsidence that a senor went out of range around time you had other things done. If you went to a quick lube place anything is possible. Stay away from them. Computer controls timing.

Misfiring, loss of power at accelaration

hook up a scanner check for codes, that will tell you if you have an engine problem or transmission problem, you can also check the trans fluid condition if its good, it will most likely be an engine drivability problem

Car has been sitting in garage for past 10 years, on blocks. what do you recommend before trying to start? it needs new battery.

you need drain fuel tank.fuel tank probably need to be removed and cleaned out to remove all sediment in bottom of fuel tank.remove each sparks and label them.squirt some clean engine oil down the spark holes into cylinder bores to help lubricate cylinder walls and help seal the piston rings to build up compression.replace fuel filter.best to change spark plugs and wires.check all brake hoses they more likely old cracked. i would change brake fluid bleed out all the old brake fluid out of the brake system.also change power steering fluid and change transmission fluid and filter also change engine oil and oil filter.replace the antifreeze and all the coolant hoses and radiator hose.replace thermostat and radiator pressure cap.replace battery and add new full tank of gas.you should be ready go. check ignition timing also.

What all regular maintance need to be done at 100,000 miles?

Change oil, replace spark plugs and fuel filter, air filter, check all brakes and lube caliper slides, check and flush cooling system, replace trans filter and gasket and perform a trans flush. This will replace all the trans fluid not just the fluid in the trans pan.Add fuel injector cleaner about every oil change. This will keep this vehicle going for another 100k.This is the best engine G.M. has had and will go over 300k.The biggest problem was the upper intake plenum gasket leaking coolant into the cylinders and oil system.Hope this has helped and good luck.

Spark plug location

yes the service light can come on because of the spark plugs. the best way to find out what the service light is on for is to go to one of the major auto parts stores and they will check it and tell you what you need for free. cant help you with the location of the plugs because ive never worked on this vehicle before.

Truck has a bad water pump, needs replaced. Also Truck stutters while cuising?

water pump pretty cut n dry replace it ,thermostat & gasket . trans shudder at cruising range --- whats the milage ? 50,000 or more i suggest changing trans fluid & filter . NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH A TRANS FLUSH 2 totally diffrent service's.. pull pan change filter & there's a plug on some torq-convertors, depending on transmission ,E4OD has the plug, 4R70W AODE do NOT. SO JUST CHANGE WHATS IN PAN & LET IT DRAIN ASA LONG AS YOU CAN. if no plug service twice in a 3 week period. then if it still does it the trans needs to be rebuilt.
