what year and what size engine? Sounds like you sucked up debris into the fuel system when you ran out of gas.

With electric pumps, when you run them dry it can damage them. You may have just picked up some rust or stuff sitting in the bottom of the tank. This could be clogging your fuel supply. several things can be done, if so equipped have the injectors cleaned, add a fuel cleaner to your tank such as seafoam, change fuel filters. If it were me I would start with the seafoam, than filter or filters. Than you may consider checking fuel pressure. Just somewhere to start good luck

P0300 random misfire detected

Check spark plugs and wire set. I had a mechanic replace my spark plugs by hand and he didn't tighten one well enough, when a different mechanic figured out that, he had damaged the wire set. A pin hole in the wire set caused it to shake uncontrollably, especially at higher speeds. I would check that first, it's much less expensive than replacing the coil.

If it ran out of gas you may have sediment in the fuel lines causing rough running which may trigger a transmission code due to improper vacuum due to the rough running.

I shut my car off at 430 in the morn ran fine but let the gas get real low tried to start it at 100 in the afternoon nothing then it started up after i put in gas but check e light has been on and idles...

if the gas got really low to the point of almost running out it could have sucked some dirt off of the bottom of the tank an clogged the fuel filter,or could have caused a cavitation in the pump do damage to it, I think I would start there if you have had the bad coil replaced.
