Start on engine to exhaust pipe and you will find it, could be at exhaust in back of engine.

How do I change the oxygen sensors in 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix(GT)?

I assume you asked, because you haven't looked for them, and never removed one before.
They are always in the exhaust pipe before the converter or most are in the converter.
A 22mm or 7/8" wrench may be what you need
Usually, you use a special O2 Sensor Socket, there are different ones.

Don't replace without testing first
OBD2 Codes--for O2 Sensors --doesn't mean it is bad,could be a vacuum leak.

Which is the bank two o2 sensor in a g6 gt

Bank 1 is always the cylinder bank that has piston/cylinder no. 1 in it; usually the left side in a rear wheel drive GM, or the front side in a front wheel drive GM. The O2 sensor will be located on either the exhaust manifold, engine exhaust pipe after the exhaust flange, or on the catalytic converter for the 2 bank.
If this helps you, please remember to vote/comment, and good luck.

How do I locate the o2 sensors on a 2001 Dakota w/ a 4.7 ltr Magnum & automatic trans?

O2 sensors are located right on the exhaust pipes. If it is an upstream sensor it is before the catalytic converter. There can be one on each side of the motor. If it is a downstream sensor it is located after the catalytic converter.

O2 sensor location 1997 pontiac grand am 2.4 4 cyl auto trans

BANK 1 SENSOR 1 IS THE ONE IN THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. BANK 2 SENSOR 2 IS BELOW THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER.

P0171 SHOULD GO AWAY WITH A GOOD O2 SENSOR BUT DO CHECK FOR VACUUM LEAKS TO BE SURE. 3.1/3.4L ENGINES HAVE A BAD DESIGN INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET, THE LEAK OIL, COOLANT, AND AIR.

1998 pontiac grand prix gt service engine soon light just came on. Auto Zone did a test and came back with a code. It said ''Fuel Air Metering P1133''. Can you tell me what this is?

P1133 HO2S Insufficient Switching Sensor 1

THIS IS THE O2 SENSOR CLOSEST TO THE ENGINE AND BEFORE THE CONVERTER.

AN EXHAUST LEAK OR A BAD SENSOR COULD BE THE PROBLEM.

CHECK THE O2 SENSOR WIRING FOR DAMAGE, CORROSION, ETC.

Cylinder 3 misfire

Make sure you're using the recommended spark plugs. When my car did that, I had put Bosch Platinum Plus-4 plugs in and got that same problem. Turns out the plugs are too hot and cause it to fire prematurely and kick the misfire code.
