In front of engine block. Just follow the upper radiator hose and it will lead you right to the thermostat housing. It should have about 3 bolts on it. You can go to autozone.com and register for full free online repair manual for your car.

Caint see timing marks on 93 ford probe v6 gt

There is some very wrong information here. Do not remove the cap or mess with the rotor! As someone else said, go to probetalk.com jumper the t/en test point to ground to disable the automatic timing adjustment - after that it's pretty standard procedure.

Im just asking what size the motor for a 1994 ford probe???

A dual-overhead-cam 4-cylinder engine powered base Probes in 1993, developing 115 horsepower. The GT coupe held a 164-horsepower V6, also of dual-overhead-cam configuration. Both engines are Mazda designs. No more turbocharged engines were available. A 5-speed manual transmission was standard; 4-speed overdrive automatic optional. Except for a slight horsepower/torque boost in 1995 for the 4-cylinder engine, and a mild V6 torque increase the year before, powertrains saw no change in this period.

How to put the sparks plugs back in to a ford probe gt 2.6 v6

They make a special elongated spark plug socket that can reach down inside far enough to reinstall them safely. The cost involved is usually $8 to $10 depending on the store

Where is the thermostat on a Ford Probe Lx and how do I change it? What direction does the thermostat point when installed?

your thermostat is located right under the radiator cap. it only points one direction in the tube. you should only have to pull 2 bolts to remove the peice to get to it.

Dies after starting

Sound like the faulty diode on the Distributor which is a common problem on the '93 up to '94 and half V6 Probes. Never was recalled but should have been. Pop in a new Distributor from a mazda or ford and you're golden if that is the problem. My t distributor was a mazda but made by mitsubishi. Go figure, both are excellent Japanese car companies.

Firing order

for the 1993 probe i could only find a 2.5 V6. there are two banks of cylinders, odd and even. in other words as you stand in front of the vehicle the odd bank is toward the firewall, the even bank is closest to you.
the number one cylinder is on the passenger side toward the firewall and firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6. hope that helps

1993 Ford Probe needs motor mounts

is the model with the V6 mazda motor, if so it can be a bit difficult if you have little mechanical experience, but it is doable without removing the motor or transmission. we would allow 3 hours to complete the whole job.
