I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee and my check engine light is on. Took it to "Advance Auto Parts" and got the code P1391. What is this?

could be a crank or cam sensor beginning to fail, or a bad harness connection at either. Usually though you would feel a problem there as both are necessary to keep the engine running.

Can you use a tow rope on a 2001 jeep grand cherokee limited if you put it in neutral?

Transfer case and transmission should be in neutral Since you are using a rope, someone needs to steer and brake If the engine runs this is much easier to do. Be careful using nylon straps and rope. they stretch and store energy. If you stress them they can snap and do serious damage. A chain is generally better as it will go limp.

it is possable/likely a bad ECTS (engine coolant tep. sensor), this can cause the injectors to allow to much fuel into cylinders and cause a low compression and or flooding situation, good luck, marty

I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee and the engine was cutting out and coming back when driving., the gauges were all going crazy. No check engine lights came on on the dash. Had to have it towed and the mechanic...

Intermittent problems like this can be caused by so many different things. However, if it happened before and someone traced it to the crank sensor. It probably wasn't the crank sensor, there is likely a bad connection, or a short in the circuit for the crank sensor.
