Could be the thermostat sticking if your not losing any coolant and the fan is operating correctly.

Where is the engine fan relay located on 2000 lincoln ls v6

There is no relay on the cooling fan circuit.
If the cooling fan is not operating, check fuse #105 (20 AMP), in the underhood junction box, right front of engine compartment.
If fuse is good then test to make sure fan is getting power.
If no power then could be bad cylinder head temperature sensor, hydraulic fan solenoid, a/c cycle switch or the PCM.
If it has power but doesn't come on then fan motor is bad.

Waht could be the cause of water blowing out radiaitor cap on 2000 lincoln ls V6.

Coolant blowing out of the cap is due to a bad cap but overheating will also cause this to happen, you will need to find out why its overheating. First is to make sure the cooling system is full, then run the engine as you keep an eye on the temp gauge inside the car. If the engine starts to run hot take a look at the radiator fan and see if its turning, if it is then i would start with a thermostant but if the fans are not coming on then i would take a look at the fans and also have the coolant temp sensor checked,a scan tool would be very helpful here, you would be able to test alot more things, but this is where i would start.

Coolant leaking from coolant reservoir and overheating

Hello jmuse3...If the coolant reservior is damaged or cracked causing the leak it will need to be replaced. If it is from the overflow due to the overheating, it won't need to be. There are several componets that make up the cooling system on your Lincoln, they all need to work together to keep your engine from overheating. Thermostat sticking, or not fully opening. Radiator clogged, preventing circulation of the coolant. Electric cooling fans not working. Defective water pump.
These are things that need to be checked. If you need more assistance, reply back.
I hope this helps.

Put a new hydrylic fan on 2001 Lincoln Ls now it still runs hot, fan isnt kicking on what could be the problem?

Yes we had a Saturn which we thought was running hot and the gauge was always in the centre or over but we had the fan checked and it was working. Our thermostat might of been faulty but we never had a overheating issue..My Mechanic said that we should get a coolant flush that might help.

Lincoln LS 2000 V6 overheating after reparing intake manifold lea

Couple of items you need to check. Make sure that your radiator is flowing properly. Often after sitting dry, blockages harden up and flow less than before, overheat originally before repair can also free up debris inside engine and add to plugging of core. Make sure that fans are operating especially with ac on. If you did not change thermostat during repair, change it. Not often but they can sometimes partially open, restricting flow. Also make sure that coolant is at correct concentration (50/50) and that there is no air trapped in the system.

Location: Coolant Temp Sensor 2001 Lincoln LS V6

It is on the Driver side of engine in between the COP's (Coil on plugs) simply unplug the wire use a 19 or 3/4 deep well socket and unscrew it and put it new one... The whole process should only take 10-15 minutes.
