If handle is down, look for slack in cable under car, and if it's got slack in it, then you'll have to get cables at rear wheels loosened up, going into backing plate.

I cannot get service brakes to release.I have oil pressure at the wheels when I release the park brake, is those normal?

are you talking about the e-brakes not releasing. if so what year make model is this car. it could be the e-brake cables seized or stuck in the on position. if someone can pull on the brake release then someone else reach under the car and pull on the brake cable it may come loose. the oil pressure you say you have at the wheels I`m guessing your talking about the brake hydraulic fluid.

Brakes stuck on 87 chevy truck

Your e-brake cables are probably stuck. Sometimes you can get lucky and yank on the cables to free them, but they will still have to be replaced to be able to use the e-brake.

I used my cars emergency brake for the first time over the weekend. I released the brake but it seems to be stuck and the car doesnt want to move either forward or backward. It's like the brake is stuck....

Ok not sure what car u have but most rear brakes are the same unless it has disc brakes on the rear. Release the brake and then crawl under the car and look at the back of the rear brake drum, you will see a cable going either in or across the rear drum to a lever.Try tapping the lever away from the cable and see if this frees up your brakes. Good luck.

Where would I find the fuse that runs the wipers on my 87 dodge dakota?

The fuse panel is located under the dash next to the parking brake release handle. The wiper motor fuse is located in panel and is marked. Hope this will help you.

Unless the brake cable is caught on something under your truck then they are already released. When you push the pedal down you pull on the cable engauging the P brakes, when you release the bakes you take tension off.

E-brake is stuck on 1987 ply horizon

If you see slack on cable from handle to "Y" where it runs to both rear wheels, then you'll need to get cables at rear wheels loosened up. Do you use hand brake much, and what have you tried so far?

2005 parking brake stuck

The parking brake cable should be replaced but in the short term try getting under the truck and grabbing the cable casing and move them around to get the seized cable inside the cable casing to release keep working the cable until it releases if this doesn't work replace both cables.

2005 Jeep Wrangler Emergency Brake Cable seems to be loose when pulled up, but seems to grab & hold when released?

You have to look under the car and see if the cable is broken. If it is'nt then it has to be ajusted.
