Mitsubishi shogun 3.2did oil pressure light comes on when ideling but goes off when driving

Their is a couple things to check before replacing the oil sending unit. 1. Verify the wire connection to it is secure. 2. Verify engine is at proper idle and not to low.

Battery light on

It sure sounds like a alternator problem.Have the output checked on the alternator soon ,because if it is bad the vehicle will be running on just the battery and eventually the truck will stop running when you run out of volts in the battery:)

Anyone know the engine oil capacity for a 97 2.8 turbo diesel shogun thanks

Hi, your engine oil capacity for your 2.8 is 7.8 litres of oil including new filter, when you have done this start car and wait until oil light go's out this will indicate that the oil filter is full with oil, turn off engine and check oil level on dipstick again.
hope this helps you.

Hi i have three lights that are burning on my dash board that is the A/T, battery, and it looks like a hat turn upside down and a dot under they are all burning at the same time. what is the problem.

Dont know why battery is coming on, but the hat upside down sounds like the engine coolant light therefore it is low. The A/T temp light means your autobox is overheating and if you carry on to drive it while this is on, serious damage can be done, so check

1: Your ATF level is too low.
2: Your ATF level is too high.
3: Your A/T filter is clogged.
4: Your A/T oil cooler is obstructed or not functioning properly.
