Question about Mercedes-Benz C230

1 Answer

Trying to respond to "emissionwiz" relative to opening the center console between the seats of my 05' Mercedes C-320 THE LOCK CYLINDER IS HELD IN BY A CLIP ON THE UNDERSIDE, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE INNER LINER OF THE LID TO GET AT IT, BEFORE YOU DO THIS HAVE YOU TRIED SPRAYING A TINY BIT OF WD 40 TO FREE UP THE BUTTON> Result: WD-40 did not help. My initial question was asking how to remove inner liner as there are no visible screws or attachments. Thanks,

Two ways, the first use locknut it is very good better than WD 40 that dissolve any rust and does not hurt anything, then carefully hit on the button to get it loose, let me know if that work if not we go to the next step. Please see that grant me your approvals by rating my service and I hope that I can serve you again the future. I will work with you in this issue to conclusion

How I can programing my contro of mercedes benz LM 320 OF 2002

if original, try flicking the key 5 times and then hold lock and open at the same time, assuming the key starts the car and is original key and remote, you will see the locks actuate if the battery is also good or new, usually they do not loose the fob memmory. try a new battery to the remote first.

The door lock on my 2003 E 320 just goes up and down when I push the remote, it does however set the alarm what is causing the problem?

From what you describe, it sounds like someone tried to slim-jim the door lock and dislocated the metal rod from the lock cylinder mechanism. There are two rods; one to the lock mechanism, and the other to the interior pop-up lock shaft. If the interior lock shaft is going up and down, but the door is not locking and unlocking, the rod to the lock cylinder/mechanism has fallen off (this is very common when someone tries to slim-jim the door for entry). To repair requires the interior door panel to be removed and the rod to be reinserted back into the small L-shaped plastic clip.

How do I remove the entire backseat (top and bottom ) to gain access to my truck?

i'm assuming you have a 320 or 430 with a non power bench. the seat bottom is secured by 2 levers in the front of the cushion. there is one on in side where the carpet meets the cushion. pull on the levers and slide he cushion up and out. the backrest is held in by 4 screw. there should 2 n the center at the bottom nd 1 on each side at the bottom.

1997 Dodge Ram Console

Thats a whole different ballpark. The center seat consoles do not lock upright at all there is no locking device, you just lift it up and it has a small bump that the lever hops over and this keeps it from falling back down. The only thing I can think of is something could be wedged in the lever or the rotating level itself is broken and holding the seat up. You may be able to see what is holding it if you move the drivers seat as far forward as possible and watch carefully on one side while wiggling the console back and forth and then do the same on the other side. If could be the lever bent and you may be able to bent it back into plce where it should be.

Let me know what you find, in the mean time I will check the Chrysler Star Hotline to see if there was a simular problem.
