Question about 1998 Volkswagen Jetta
The idle is controlled by the the idle speed actuator which is part of the throttle body.

Installed new ac compressor and valve, and 5 cans of coolant. ac only worked for 1 day. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT DO I DO NOW?

It should be on the intake manifold. I think its on the driver side it is cylindrical and has two lines going into it on one end making them 90 degree config and a rectangular plug on the opposite end with a bracket mounting it to the manifold.
