Follow the wires from the distributor to the engine end. Pop the wire off the end of the plug then remove the plug with a plug socket. Make sure the new plug is properly gapped then install and replace the wire, making sure the wire is securely attached. (Tip, finish one at a time so as not to cross the plug wires).

How do I change spark plugs

I am guessing this is a 6 cylinder. You will need a spark plug removal socket. Usually 5/8 with a rubber fitting in the top of it to grab onto the spark plug. Locate your distribution center where the six wires feed out to the spark plugs. If you follow one of them you will get to the end where the spark plug is. Remove the rubber boot and that will expose the spark plug head. Get a ratchet, put on the socket and remove the plug. That is the easy explanation. Getting to the plugs may be difficult with what is in the way. You may need to remove manifolds or other things in the way first. From there you may need a couple of different socket extensions or knuckles to get into them. Let me know if you have any other questions.

How to replace spark plugs in a 2006 honda accord

First park the car somewhere flat and disconnect the battery. Remove the engine cover, unbolt the ignition coils and release the harness connector from each one and then pull the coils off of the spark plugs. Once the spark plugs are exposed, you can remove them with the spark plug socket. Reverse for install. Good luck

How to change spark plugs on renault modus

Just did mine 6 days ago. Once you've removed the plastic covers above the engine (I used the torx screwdriver/10mm spanner which came with the vehicle), it's pretty straight forward stuff. I remove the battery terminal first before starting any work as a safety precaution. On each of the plugs is the ht leads which are just held on by a plastic clip which will release when pressed downwards. Then there's a 10mm bolt holding the cap (funnel shaped) onto each spark plug, loosen them and remove, you will expose the plug which can then be removed with the usual extended ratchet socket.

Where are the spark plugs located? and how do I get to them?

There are no spark plug wires on the 2000-up Northstar engines. They use coil on plug design. First remove the engine service cover.(The Pretty plastic peice that has the Cadillac symbol on it) Then disconnect the coil connector which sits to the right of the coil and should just snap off by hand. Next If you remove the screws that holds the coil pack (8 screws) to the top of the cam covers, you will see 4 black round rubber boots that sit on top of the plugs. Pull the boots free to expose the plugs. The tops of the spark plugs sit directly underneath

How I change the spark plugs to legacy 95 grand wagon? engine EJ25 thank's

If it's a single overhead cam engine, which I'm guessing it is, all you have to do is remove the washer reservoir from the drivers side and pull the spark plug boots out to expose the spark plug tube. You do the same thing on the other side, but you just take out the air box/tubes. 5/8 spark plug socket, 6inch 3/8 drive extension and 3/8 drive ratchet. Pull all 4 spark plugs out, put 4 new ones in and reassemble everything in reverse order of removal. Good luck and have fun!!

Changing spark plugs on 2007 Hyundai Sonata 4 cylinder

You are correct. The plugs are accessed below these coils. Disconnect the coil connectors and remove the 4 10mm bolts which hold the coils in place -- then you'll have access to the plugs. Here's a pic

4ff53b2.jpg By the way, how many miles on this 2007 Sonata? You know the powertrain is under warranty (1st owner 100,000 miles). If you're having problems, have Hyundai dealership diagnose it and fix it under warranty.

Remove the plastic beauty cover to expose the ignition coil packs, one per cylinder. Remove the wire harnes from the pack and remove the 2 10mm bolts that hold the coil pack in place. Pull out the coil pack to expose the plug. You will need a long extension to reach the plug. You may have to remove the screws holding the coolant tank to get at the back coil on the drivers side and the air filter box for the back coil on the passenger side.

HOw to get into engine to change spug pluggs and leads for Toyota estima 1993

The best thing to do is to purchase a Haynes manual for the Toyota Previa. But to access the spark plug wires and spark plugs you will need to remove the passenger front seat. This requires taking out four bolts on the four corners of the seat. After the seat is removed you need to remove the outside seat support and the jack and jack handle that is located under the seat. Next remove the bolt from the seat belt/shoulder harness. Romove the screws from the side of the carpet keeper strip along the bottom of the door. carefully, using a flat blade screwdriver, pry the plastic carpet strip up carefully disengaging it from the rear strip. Unhook the carpet from the edge of the doorway. Pull the carpet back enough to expose the bolts holding the cover over the engine. Remove all the bolts holding the cover over the engine. This will expose the engine head. remove the three bots holding the black plastic cover over the spark plug wires. This wires can be removed allowing access to the plugs. Be aware these engines use only platinum tipped spark plugs. Good Luck
