You must buy a replacement sensor, since your existing one is already loose. Then, put the replacement in place. Make sure that
this is reconnected tight. Better still, you can put around the thread
two layers of teflon tape, Size 1/2 inch. This will secure the sensor
tight in place, and solve your problem. Send your e-mail and vote for
this solution to fix ya.

Maybe its the oil pressure indicator sensor. naturally, it would have some pressure of oil in it. i think what you have to do is just replace the plug. maybe it has a loose thread or something.

It seems that where it sits on the manifold has a damaged thread or gasket. Now you also need to think that if this is the manifold then it should not have oil coming out from it unless there is something wrong with the engine.

My 01 chevy impala keep using up to much gas .what

Run a diagnostic to see if you've any bad sensors in the system. If none are found and your check engine light is on, then it's a mechanical problem. Like possibly a bad seal on the gas cap. Little things like that can cause bad fuel economy.

Does a 2001 chevy impala come with a map sensor or just a mass air flow sensor ?

They have both. If you have a 3.1/3.4L, the map sensor is located at the rear of the engine compartment directly beside the ignition coils. If you have a 3.8L, I believe it is located at the front of the engine (right side of engine bay).

if its a small leak you can drive it for a while but if its a big leak you should have it fixed as it could start a fire under the hood.either way it should be repaired.

I have an 01 Impala 3.8 engine. At first start-up white smoke is seen, smells like raw gas, and tail pipe is black as coal. Fuel milage isn't good either. Would the regulator be bad?

Like 3 days after i got my oil changed in my 2006 chevy impala the low oil pressure shut off engine light comes on

This is an idication of a severe oil leak. Check the oil level in your engine to see if there is any in it. Add to the full mark and return to the oil change shop and ask them to see where the leak is. Do not operate without oil. Severe engine damage will occur. Hope this helps Moe

2001 chevy impala has a P0420 code and a check engine light that will not reset. Earlier P-codes indicated a problem with cylinders 1-3. these codes reset after a while. Found intake vacuum house off on...

A code P0420 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

An oxygen sensor is not reading (functioning) properly
The engine coolant temperature sensor is not working properly
Damaged or leaking exhaust manifold / catalytic converter / exhaust pipe
Retarded spark timing

How do you change oil on a 2001 chevy impala

the sump bung is usually mounted at the lowest point on the engine, on the sump, generally on the bottom os or one of the sides, the best way to see where your oil filter is, is to buy a new one then look under the vehicle.
