Getting ready to replace the throttle position sensor in my 93 Cadillac Eldorado how do I relearn the system

If you have a dashboard warning light on and the error code indicates a throttle position sensor fault - which you replace..

The warning light should go out after replacement of the sensor.

If it doesn't, simply get somebody with an OBD - handheld diagnostic machine - to reset the warning light.

Everything is controlled by the ECU. Replace, reset ... it is all done by the ECU

Z24 nissan engine 720 kingcab sensor light is on.what sensor?

An orange or yellow light with just the word "sensor"? All '82-'87 models are equipped with a maintenance reminder light for the oxygen sensor. It is just an alert to have the O2 sensor checked. Light is set to come on at 30,000 miles, will need resetting, then will again come on at 60,000 miles, must be reset, will come on at 90,000 miles at which time Nissan says locate and disconnect warning light connector. Be done with it!

There are two methods to turn the light off, depending on model, year, and engine size and calibration. On the earlier systems (without a relay) the connection for the warning light is somewhere around the fuse box-wire colors are different for all models, so I can't help you there-you just disconnect the connector.
Later models may have a sensor relay. Relay is reset by depressing a button on the relay or by inserting a small screwdriver into the reset hole-depending on which kind of relay. Getting confused? Not done yet, so you may just want to find the warning light connector, unplug it and be done with it-you probably have more than 90K anyway, at which time it should be disconnected
But to continue: Now, you have to find the relay for resetting...Good luck on that!...I can tell you, though, that on pulsars and sentras, the relay is located either behind the left kick panel or the right kick panel, can be in either location, depending on model and year. Your pickup, if it has a relay, should have it also behind one of the kick panels.
But if you can find the warning light connector, 2 wires, just disconnect it. It might also be near the hood release handle.

How do I reset the TPMS warning light on my 2007 Nissan Pathfinder ? I have inflated a low air pressured tire too the proper inflation pressure, but the warning light remains on. Can anyone help me with...

My daughter has a 2006 Murano, and has had the same problems.
Replacement Tire Pressure sensors are available from e-bay online, but when the first one of hers quit, I found out from the dealer that the computer loses track and must be reset. I would not replace any wheel sensors just yet.
Where we live, the Nissan dealer wants about $150 to reset the computer and turn off the "flat tire" light.
Recently, a local tire store has offered to do this for free.
I took my daughter's car in to have the computer reset.
The store manager says they cannot reset Nissans or Toyotas, only the dealer can.
So, my daughter is living with the "flat tire" light.

I have a VW touran diesel 1.9. Recently there was a brake pad warning light indicated on my dash board, so I took it to my closest gargae to check. They replaced two new brake discs and the brake pads....

nope,it has to go back to a dealer(the computer is too expensive for a diy mech)they will reset it IF GENUINE parts have been used, as sensors are inbuilt into the pads.

I replaced the front pads on a VW JETTA 2.5 and the check pads light is on. How can I reset the check pads light?

As the brake pads wear, the brake pad wear sensor contained in the brake pad contacts the brake rotor. This causes the sensor to fail. When a pad wear sensor fails it opens the ground circuit of the pad wear warning light system causing the pad wear warning light to illuminate. Perform normal brake service to correct this condition and be sure to replace the brake pads with pads containing wear sensors. Once the brake pads and wear sensors are replaced, reset the brake pad warning system by turning the ignition switch to the "on" position. As long as continuity to ground exists through all the brake pad wear sensors the system should reset and the pad warning light in the dash will go out. If the pad warning light does not go out, a check of the pad warning circuit for an open circuit condition or poor ground must be performed.

I dunno if this will work on your BMW, but on my BMW Z3 and M3, it was....

Turn the ignition key to position 2, but do NOT start the car. Wait for about 45 seconds and the brake warning message will be reset.

If it doesn't reset, then the brake sensor was damage. You will need to replace the brake sensor. It sounds like you replace the brake right after you saw the warning, so the brake sensor should be okay.

Buick Park Avenue - Low Tire Pressure Warning

What may have happened is that one of the tire pressure sensors was damaged, or the system was not reset.
The tire presure sensors use radio frequency to tell the module the tires presure and location. Replacing tires can sometimes damage them. The sensor is part of the valve stem. Use the driver info buttons to go to the tire pressure / location info. If you see " -- ", then the system cannot read the tires. Tech JK
