Check the cells on the battery, if they are dry or not full of water then they can go bad. That would incorporate the battery to keep dying. When you start the car it feeds off the alternator, and then starts to die.
Check your charging system, test the battery.

Battery drains overnight on cadillac seville sts

It is confirmed that there is a drain on the circuit and your way to confirm this is correct. It seems that the audio secction/clock section or the assocciated circuit is draining on IDLING voltage. It needs replacement of the unit or if you are able to remove the unit , it must be checked on a test bench for the shorting circuit.

Hi, I would replace the battery. It has what you call internal discharge. That means it will no longer hold a charge. Also have the alternator checked that is charging properly. That should do it. Good luck.

Get a multimeter then disconnect the positive side of the battery. Measure the amp(current) between the terminal you just disconnected and the positive battery while the car is off. and have someone get a tweezer and pull out one at a time each fuse in the fuse box. When the amp goes down on the multimeter then you found out where in your car there is a short. Note the fuse you pulled out in your car manual. It could be radio shorting, domelight shorting. Sometimes kids drop pennys or coins in the radio disk slots shorting the radio or amplifier in the car is always on.

Hi geofitzpat,
I need a little more info.
Do the switches on the passenger side work?
Are the windows and door locks both inoperative ? How about a electric mirror control?
Did the switch get wet ( as in rained on ) ?
Is everything else OK?, starts good, headlights are bright? Let me know.
Regards, P.
