Question about 1993 Ford Econoline
The cruise control is stuck and ofcourse I can't get it to shut off so I need to disconnect the fuse that goes to it. When van is on it revs up to like 70 miles and hour parked, overheats and I don't know what else to do. I can't drive it in town because the gas pedal goes by itself and if I try to slow down or stop the van overheats because it's reving so hard. This is my only means of transportation so I would appreciate any help.
I have a 93 ford and it just died on me i think it might be the pump can you help.

You should also have two cables running to the throtlle body under the hood. One will be for your normall footfeed and the other for your cruise controll. Have someone press the foot feed while you are looking at both cables, you should see one get slack while they are pressing down on the foot feed, this will be your cruise cable. Now you have one of two opptions depending on what is easier for you. 1. You can disconnect the cable at the throtle body or 2. you can follow the cable back to its controll box and disconect the wires to it. I would however strongly sugest not to cut any of the cables or wires in order to shut this off. The repair costs would be high and the possibillity of cutting the wrong thing is to great. You can always hook things back up later, but must replace items that are cut.

THERE IS 2 CABLES ON THE THROTTLE BODY ONE IS YOUR GAS PEDAL AND ONE GOUS TO YOUR CRUISE CONTROL JUST UNHOOK THE ON FOR YOUR CRUISE. THE FUSE BEING OUT MAY NOT STOP THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE IT IS PARTLY VACUUME OPERATED
