METHOD 1 - NO TOOLS REQUIRED

  1. Sit in the vehicle driver's seat.
  2. Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
  3. Close all of the vehicle's doors.
  4. Press and HOLD the door "LOCK" switch to the "Unlock" position.
  5. Insert and remove the ignition key twice (without rotating the ignition lock cylinder).
  6. Insert the ignition key a third time leaving the key in the ignition lock cylinder. The ignition must be in the "OFF" position.
  7. Release the door "LOCK" switch from the "Unlock" position (three fast chimes will be heard when the remote control door lock receiver enters the programming/diagnostic mode).
  8. Press and HOLD the transmitter "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" buttons simultaneously for at least 12 seconds . Two fast chimes will be heard confirming successful programming.
  9. Repeat step 8 for each additional transmitter to be programmed.
  10. Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder

I tried the above procedure, but at step 8, I never get the 2 fast chimes to confirm successful programming...even with a new battery. Both remotes are older...could they just be worn out? I tried cleaning the contacts...still no luck.

i have not 2 chimes but 3 fast horn....and still no work. is-it the controler in the car broken ?

When I did this I got the 3 honks of the horn as well. I went to the GM dealership and asked them what it was and they said that it was the car "invalidating" or clearing all remotes currently programed into the system. If you repeat the procedure (several times perhaps) the car will give you to two honks meaning that it has paired the remote succesfully. ONE CORRECTION ON THE PROCEDURE ABOVE: After you get the two beeps saying that the remote has been paired you must cycle the ignition, "On," "Off," "On,"Off" before removing the key from the ignition in order to save the programming.

HI, CAN I BUY A KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM ON EBAY, FOR MY BUICK CENTURY 97?, I MEAN DOES MY CAR HAS THE OPTION FOR THAT SYSTEM (KEYLESS). THANKS.

Generic answer... If you have electic locks, installing a Keyless should be fairly easy, if you do not, it gets much more complicated.
