Pricing on a timing belt for a 2004 odyssey

If you're asking for pricing on parts and labor, it's a approximately $500 to $600. BUT remember, it's still a small price to pay when replacing the timing belt before it breaks. First, your Odyssey is an interference motor(once the belt breaks, it damages your intake and exhaust valves). Secondly, you don't want to be stuck in the middle of highway and face towing charges. The cost to do the valve job and timing belt could run you in the mill of $2500 when all said and done. Hope this helps

Next maintenance on a 2002 Honda Odyssey

I would do it as soon as you get it, because you never know when the previous owner took the car in for maintenance.
Typically, you would have:
- oil changed
- check for proper fluid levels
- any visible leaks
- all the bulbs working
- belts are in good condition
- air filter is relativey clean

Most of these should fit under "tune up" just make sure to ask where you get the vehicle serviced what their definition of a "tune up" is.
