While putting in a new battery in a toyota camry the instrament gauges, radio,and all back lights stoped working... replaced all fuses and still wont work

Ok, first (I know it sounds stupid) were the battery terminals put on correctly? positive to positive.. If so, then check your fuses BOth under the hood and inside the car. Check to see if any other devices are supposed to be connected to the positive lead of the battery or any loose non connected electrical wires by your battery. You might have a relay that went out or a short between your battery (and/or battery cable) and your "firewall".

check all fuses in both fuse boxes.

You now know the fuse only powers the cluster.
A mechanic would check for shorts to ground at the connector for the cluster. The gauges are grounded thru the sending units.

Check the "Dome" Fuse in the fuse block next to the battery, also check the "cig/radio" Fuse left instrament panel, behind pop open door.

Changed battery real cranky no start

check the fuses and circuit breakers near battery i'll bet one of them popped.
