Does the 2000 subaru outback have a timing belt that needs to be changed and at what miliage intervals

It should if it is a 4 cylinder. And any good mechanic would suggest to replace the belt between 70,000 to 90,000 miles.

I have 2001 saab 95 2000. with 95000 miles. the engine seems quite noisy.

If I4 probably the timing chain and or the top end of the engine is going. Need to have it looked at ASAP. If V6 also not good. Mechanic ASAP. Could be noisy accessory like water pump, alternator, etc. Have mechanic take the outside belt off and run the engine and see if noise is still there. If so, engine, if not, accessory.

I have a 95 est areo on a 53 plate how do i ajust the hand brake plaese

Lift the armrest, inside the compartment remove the rubber liner. Through the hole you will see a threaded rod with a nut. Using a deep 10mm socket thighten the nut. That's the easy way. The hard way is removing both rear wheels and adjusting the hand break drums pads located inside the hubs with a screwdriver.

2000 Saab 9-5 wagen - engine stops

Sounds like your CPS (crankshaft position sensor) is defective. It is a cheap sensor $75ish and only takes 30min max to R&R. Both the 4 cylinder turbo and 6 cylinder turbo have this sensor (different sensor, same concept) You can also check the function of your FPR (fuel pressure regulator) by sucking on the vacuum line attached to the intake manifold. It should hold vacuum without leaking down.
