i don't know. perhaps having both beams on that long may draw too much electricity. please repair the high beams
so they light without delay. an auto wrecker yard might let you switch out parts from one of their used vehicles.
headlights control by headlamp driver module relay to the BCM and the light sensor on dash next to the winshield defrost vents.headlights also control by high beam relay.
this could be a little more simple depending on the lighting outside. quite a few GM's with DRL will turn on the dash lights and tail lights automatically when it gets so dark outside. if it happens when it's completely dark out i would check the switch itself and maybe the relay incase it is sticking
