2004 Toyota Solara DISARM Alarm, Has NO toggle switch! HELP PLS!!

I have a 2004 Toyota Solara 2 door sports coupe and even the dealer, and everywhere I go on the web gives me toggle switch instructions! NO toggle switch on this model, the alarm system goes on and off with NO reason to be doing so! HELP PLEASE! I am disturbing my neighbors, and SO upsetting me!

I have keyless entry, four button model that came WITH the car, dealership, not aftermarket alarm key pad. Key pad has lock, unlock, trunk, orange alarm. EEK! NEED ALARM SYSTEM OFF SO BADLY!

Thank you SO much, maybe this one site will help me as I have tried EVERYWHERE~!! You know a dealership will charge you a million dollars to do a simple task, so pleading for help! :)

Thank you SO much!

Thank you SO much Ted, the dealership already said it would be $100, arghh.. yes on what is on the key fob. True, NO toggle switch, that is my problem!yes, Toyota emblem on key as it came with the car. What are body DTC's? Car isn't acting up except for the alarm system going off at EXTREMELY odd times.. no rain, no wind, no kids, no animals, therefore, yes, NO sense to this. Even when I jiggle, bump into it, no sound! Just at ODD times

The key fob should have LOCK, UNLOCK, TRUNK and PANIC...the dealership isnt going to charge you a million dollars to ck it...there is no "toggle switch" that I know of, is there a TOYOTA emblem on the key fob? if its a factory TOYOTA system then they should be able to dignose it and fix it for you. sometimes it works with the body control unit and you really cant disable it, without other things being affected. have they checked for body DTC's?? they may need the car to act up with them in order to find out why its happening. is there any sense to it? hot. cold, raining, early in the am, if the alarm is set can you go around and jiggle the door handles, rap on the the hood, trunk? maybe kids are trying to get in?? has it happened for you just sitting there. these kinds of problems take time and patience to figure out, sorry I could not be more help.

How to turn on my alarm on Toyota celica 1997

There was not a factory installed alarm for this car, any "toyota" security system would have been instaled at the dealer or the regional distribution port depending on what region the car was originally sold from. Do you have a remote for the system? Also check for a red valet button on the dash that can be toggled on/off. The port systems are also known for toggle switches located on the driver kick panel or under the driver dash. If you don't have a remote and manually unlocking the car from closed driver door will not disable the system you will have to locate the toggle/valet switch.

My Toyota Camry 2001 XLE alarm keeps going off. Door sensor not working properly. How do I disable alarm system so my neighbours can sleep.

I had the same problem today - called Toyota dealer and they said to turn on the ignition, press the red button (alarm indicator), then turn off ignition, turn ignition back on, and it should be set to off. I am going to try this evening to see if it actually works. Also, he said if you don't have the button on the dash to look near the kick plate for a toggle switch and follow the instructions the same.

Just replaced battery on 2005 tundra, how do I reset the vehicle alarm. The alarm now sounds whenever I open the doors.

Anytime the alarm sounds when opening the door with the key, get into the truck anyway, place the key into the ignition key switch and turn it on and off 2 times. The horn will stop blowing and the lights will stop flashing. You're ready to go.......

Key fob wont disable alarm on hyundai coupe

One day my Hyundai Coupe 2002 2.0 car alarm would not dis-arm. The remote was flashing but not turning the alarm off. I replaced the batteries and had the remote signal tested, but still the alarm would not dis-arm. There are no switches to flick off, no reset button and there was no way off cutting power to the alarm. The only solution was to take it to a Hyundai dealer ( with alarm siren sounding and lights flashing ) and have them disarm it. It took one guy almost 3 hours to disarm it, and cost me £150 ! I knew the guy at the garage, so that was with discount. The alarm is a joke and should not have been fitted in the first place by Hyundai!

it sounds like you may have an aftermarket alarm system. it can be removed completely from the vehicle. if it is a factory system the key fob or unlocking the door wit the key should disarm the system. if they dont you may want to have a dealer or reputable shop check the system

I had a similar problem with my '94. Try disconnecting the battery, wait 30 seconds and reconnect the battery. This should reset the alarm.

No, the factory alarm is armed and diarmed either by the power locks locking/unlocking or there will be two wires to arm/disarm the factory alarm. Depending on the specs, it may auto-arm the alarm every time the doors are all closed and locked, so you may have to get an aftermarket alarm or wire up a switch to deactivate it.
