What. Is the sensor with the lever action on back

I put a 2000 f150 motor in my truck got it started but need to put the arms or levers back on the sensor on backside of motor by lefts fuel line

How to remove the rear windshield motor wiper?


If after all this time you still need to replace the back wiper.
There is a plastic lever where the wiper attaches to the arm.
Squeeze this lever against the metal wiper arm, while pushing
the wiper blade towards the base of arm. It should unhook
the blade from the wiper arm.

Replace cam sensor on 2000 4.7 v8 grand cheerokee


Put front emd on ramp, carry out all the safety stuff, block wheels, disconnent battery, wear safety glasses etc etc.
The crankshaft sensor is behind the starter motor, see pic, remove the two bolts (15mm) from the starter motor, move it to one side as in pic, You can then get at the sensor, use 13mm socket remove bolt then twist the sensor out, I had to use a screwdriver to break the seal and lever it a little.
total time about 40 mins start to finish

your clutch operating arm is not attached at the other end and the only course of action is to drop the box again and refit it ,this time do a bodge job and make sure you put some gaffa tape around the ball stud/arm so it doesnt fall off when fitting

As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you manually put back the lever while you put the seat on the desired position. Sometimes the adjustment lever fails to go back so you will have to do it manually.

2000 F150 gear shift knob no longer shifts gears


Good day
No the steering wheel don't need to be remove.
1. remove the instrument panel cluster opening finish panel assembly. remove the 3 screws that retains the upper steering column shroud and remove cover.
2. insert a scratch awl into the access hole on lower steering column shroud and push in the ignition lock cylinder release pin. insert the ignition key into the lock, turn ignition to run position and remove the lock cylinder from the steering column. remove lower steering column shroud. unsnap and slide gearshift lever boot up toward end of gearshift lever.

NOTE: ALWAYS INSTALL NEW GEARSHIFT LEVER RETAINING PIN DURING REASSEMBLY

3. remove gearshift lever retaining pin by lightly tapping with a drift punch and hammer. disconnect gearshift lever harness connector. remove gearshift lever. to install reverse removal procedure.

I have the check engine light on 2day and show is the code p1709 pnp sw out of range how do i fix this ford f150 v6 1999 thanks


To Adjust Sensor:

  1. turn ignition switch to On, put shift lever in reverse and verify that the back up lights come on.
  2. If they do, but the engine can’t be started in Park or Neutral, or it can be started in any other gear besides Park or Neutral, the sensor is probably defective.
  3. If the lights do not come on, disconnect the shift cable from the manual lever, loosen the bolts on the sensor and move sensor slightly until the back-up lights come on, tighten bolts 62-89 in lbs for the 4R70W, 71-88 in lbs for the E4OD and 4R100.
  4. If you can’t get the back up lights to come on by moving the sensor, and the lights are good then the sensor is probably bad
If the sensor is bad replace and reset check engine light. Hope this helps, let me know

Transmission will only go into reverse


I would check the linkage and if it is all connected and working then the problem is internal. A pump can go and leave no shavings or metal flakes in the pan.

To check the linkage put the truck on ramps, support it with jackstands crawl under the truck while someone sits in the drivers seat with the parking break on. Watch the linkage levers on the transmission as the person in the truck moves the shift lever (while firmly mashing the breaks) also listen for a distinct "clicking" sound in the transmission as it moves through the gears. Again if the linkage is okay and it sounds like things are moving with the shift leaver then the problem is most likely a worn pump.

Hey,
The earing that connects the wiper arm to the motor is ground down. You need to replace the wiper arms or the motor depending on which "gears" are ground down. The wiper motor is here:

from what your desribing your truck shift linkage needs adjusting if it is not starting and this is happening i would first went to the safety nuetral switch mounted on the tranny by your shift lever it might not be lined up because of the shift adjustment try with somone helping you chalk the wheel have some one help you under your truck you should see a nut that holds your shifting arm to your tranny loosen have someone inside hold shift level up tight to get the play out make sure the lever arm on your tranny is all the way either forward or backward in the position it should be in for park retighten nut if the neutral switch is slightly off it will create no start condition good luck
